Don Walker, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (http://www.kffl.com/link/188), reports the NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) has announced a new policy to govern the ability of media websites to offer audio and video content. Credentialed website can use up to 45 seconds per day of audio or video of interviews or press conferences involving NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) employees, including players and coaches, as well as practice footage. The new policy also states that audio or video cannot be used live and may be archived for 24 hours. Jim Jenks, executive sports editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer and president of the Associated Press Sports Editors organization, said that media representatives met last year with NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) officials about a policy governing online content. "We would like more. But in fairness, it is a first step," Jenks said. NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) spokesman Greg Aiello said the league was expanding access to media, "but we are also balancing news coverage vs. programming. We can't allow somebody to take our content and create a program around it unless we are licensing it."What the hell is 45 seconds a day? that's like saying we can only show you 1 commercial of the same thing per day on TV.:willybs: First they put a bann on allowing anyone to air the game over the Internet. Then they put Monday night football to only be air through cable and now they want to put a stipulation on how much press can be given to any one story.:cursin: Damn man, next we are going to have to pay just to watch local football games....................what nexts,no free Fantasy Football... All about the Benjamins.:yesnod:

The NFL is a business and they're as power hungry and driven as any other big corporation. They look out for themselves and the almighty dollar first. The more they can control things the more money they'll make in the long run because they'll have ultimate control over everything. They'll allow us to see the videos and audio content as a teaser but you'll have to pay to see the rest. :willybs:

Relax Capt, nobody is going to shut us down

Everything that gets posted up on this site is free game as it's on the net available to everyone. Any site that has restricted content that you would need to pay for doesn't get posted up here without permission. If the NFL really starts cracking down on this then we'll make sure we don't cross the line of what's not acceptable. This type of stuff mainly applies to media outlet sites, the Credentialed websites they refer too, and that's where we get most of our content from. Whatever they post up is free game for everyone so we can use it too. Anything else that anyone posts up on youtube or google videos for example is not our problem. If they have it up there then we can have it here. If they pull it down from there then' we'll do the same.

After watching the PBS program on Wiretapping I don't think you'll need to worry over the Government getting your Web address. Hell they've had them for years.

They don't call it the No Fun League for nothing. Someday it would be nice if everybody could/would just say heck on the NFL. This more than likely has alot to do with NFL Network.
