This ain't old news Blitz, this just happened on Saturday.

An angry Alan Faneca (http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/12358) boycotted the first of the Pittsburgh Steelers' (http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/teams/page/PIT) two minicamp practices Saturday because of a comment made to him by management during a morning meeting, but returned for the second practice after talking briefly with new coach Mike Tomlin.

Training camp starts 23 July, let him miss one of those. Tomlin will fine him and then its on.

These are the guys under contract for the next three years. As you can see we have a lot more than Campo Feneca to worry about.

What I was talking about is we all knew he wasn't gonna show for mini-camp
But he did say he was gonna be in training camp according to sirius radio

[I] also hear a lot of talk about extending Ben right away we have time on him. He signed a 6 year deal as a RC.

It's all good Blitz, but mini camps are mandatory and he was showing up no matter what was goin on with the negotiations. Then on saturday he didn't show cuz of what Rooney II said during a meeting.

"It was something that was said," Faneca said. "I'm just going to leave it at that."

Up until saturday hes showed his anger but he showed up to the mandatories, now hes starting to not show up, like I said wait until the real training camp starts in July and see what happens, if something doesn't happen before then. Tomlin will have no choice but to fine him if hes a no show.

Watch him Hold out, I am not wishing that, I am sensing this. I like Faneca a lot, but damnit, the way the Rooneys are doing him, I am getting a little **** at em. Now we are finally getting the whole story and the not half turths.

Yeah me too, obviously it must have been something pretty interesting if he stayed away from the first practice but came back for the 2nd one. Perhaps it was a misunderstanding in the first meeting and Tomlin cleared the air ? :dunno:

You know what, I am very intruded to know what the hell the Rooneys said to him to get him so pissed off. I am getting a little livid at the Rooneys here. Let's clear something up here, it is Art Rooney II and not Dan Rooney. Don't forget, Art got more power now than Dan. He is a snake the way I am seeing it now. If this is the way it is going to be in the future, we are in deep ****.

I dont think it is going to be the way it is from now on, i don't think that the other Rooney's will allow Art to ruin what they have built. And the Steeler fans will not sit by and watch Steeler tradition go to hell.

I hope your right, cause, I hate to say this, when Dan goes, you watch what the hell will happen to the Steelers. I will be damned if I let Art ruined 75 years of a rich tradition of Blue Collar working franchise built from the bottom up. HAIL TO THE CHIEF!!!

Dan is the Chairman but Art has the day to day control over the operations. Art is definitely more aggressive and doesn't appear to hold the same old school traditional values that Art Sr, and Dan have demonstrated.

These are somewhat turbulent times for the black n gold so these next few years will tell a lot about the overall direction this team is headed in terms of personnel and philosphy.

I have said for some time now (to family members, and probably even on here) that Art is NOT the same "feel" as Dan when it comes to football stuff. Nothin we could hear would surprise me when he's got pretty much full control--we're already noticin the changes...

they never said it was the rooney's that said something, they said someone on mangement or some ****....... so you are mad cause the rooney's refuse to play games with a whining little bitch?? what horrible owners, i guess we should sale the team to jerry jones so we can overpay aging players, would that make you happy??

you'll be damned if you let art ruin 75 years??? what can you do??? you gonna go to pitt and threaten to beat him up??? i think he'd kick you butt ....... also art hasn't done nothing wrong, he's standing his grounds, he's refusing to play games, he's keeping it in private, while this fat *** wannabe t.o./plax is going to the media about private matters........ i hope art keeps up what he's doing, he got rid of a shitass coach, and hired the best guy for the job, and now he's refusing to overpay.........
