Nice, fine deal. I just hope he can contribute a little if he can.

That's a great price for a veteran back looking to make a comeback and get a 2nd chance. If he works out we got him at a good bargain, if not we didn't lose much.

the steelers didnt land barlow, barlow landed the steelers, we are a boost to his career more than he is a boost to our team at this point....not really thrilled about it as you can tell lol

:plus1: I ain't holdin my breath on Barlow, hes here to spell Parker, ok I'm cool with that for now but he better do something with the ball when he gets it. Granted he played behind a suck *** line in SF and NY but great players make plays. Hes been in the league for 6 years and has only 1 1000 yard season, that was as a backup to Garrison Hearst, as a starter hes done nothing. All I'm sayin, starter or backup, he better more then carry his weight.

Well, the price was right at least. Let's hope we get a good year out of him. Luckily he can't be any less valuable than Staley was last year.

yeah only staley was taking ALOT more money to be a cheerleader, at least we can hope barlow will dress for games lol

We better not go through that same RB merry go round that we did last year during preseason and in the beginning of the regular season !! :cursin:

Yeah, despite the typical cynical resonse this signing has garnered, it's a good move. It gives us depth from another guy who IS a good RB, and has been a starter before. He'll get more than a couple TD's.

He had what, 6 TD's last year  Even if he sees limited action which is all I'd really want out of him since Najeh is the primary backup now, he'll be worth the cheap money we got him for.

we got him to compete at the back-up job,and i think he will do just fine right there. Parker's got the starting job, so lets see who deserves to be his back-up. I twill make davenport work harder as well. i like this signing:yesnod: .

The talk on Sirius NFL Radio is that this is Barlow's last chance in the NFL and is a long-shot to make the final roster and that he was brought in as a "body" for training camp reps.-----------Now this makes more sense to me than the Steelers bringing him with the hope that he's going to be a legit contributor to the team in some way.
