I am looking at having the opprotunity to interview Hines Ward. Its not set in stone yet but its an extreme possibilty. I have many questions of my own and I dont want to send 8000 questions the first time but I want to open up this to all of you here at SA to get your questions in there. I am going to use 3-4 from here and 3-4 from TSZ this will be a TSZ interview. So get your questions in and make sure they are something of relevance. Thanks in advance and I would also like to thank Deb for getting this together for us.

Admin if this is not in a good spot please move it. Thanks

Question for Hines: Have you heard of Steeler Addicts?
Follow up question regardless of answer: Can you spread the word in the locker room about SA? :D

That's all I can think of at the moment :dunno:

How do you think the WR corps will do this year?
When you were being drafted what team did you want to go to?
What does being a Pittsburgh Steeler mean to you?
After your football career do you think you will coach?

I'd like to know his best guess as to how many games we'll win this first season under Mike Tomlin.

How would you describe your relationship with former Head Coach Bill Cowher and what is your relationship like so far with Mike Tomlin?

I don't know if this is to late but here ya go.

You have a great work ethic to keep in shape and to go all out every Sunday.....What keeps you motivated every year? Does it change from year to year? How do you go about passing that work ethic to other players?

sorry diesel already sent it to him. Hopefully I get something back. Enclosed most not all of the questions from both sites and let him choose what he wanted to answer so we will see where it goes.

I would be ecstatic if he responds to us. I would cherish this forever if he does. Too bad we couldn't send him and some of the guys a Steeler Addicts T-Shirt, darn NFL.

I think it will be okay..generally getting them to talk to you at all is the hardest part....if you can build up some sorta relationship with the secretary or the PR person sometimes it helps. I have had people write back and say absolutely absolutely not.....or he's too busy he can't be bothered. So at least ...he will see them. I wrote most of the steeler team so hopefully it won't be the only one....

heard from his camp today.....here's the deal...but I will follow up and I will get them one way or another LOL but its kinda a credit to him and his work ethic

I spoke to Mr. Ward and given the recent NFL draft, his new coaching staff and system, and his expected role on the team this year, he wants to focus on his team at this time. Therefore, he does not want to do any of these types of interviews at this time. Please remind me after minicamp and we'll do our best to get them done. This is the first year he is spending all of his offseason time at the complex with his team. There is a lot expected of him as the leader, so he wants to devote all of his time to this and not get sidetracked at the moment. We appreciate your understanding and perhaps make this work down the road. Take care and feel free to stay in touch.

No doubt, if he's not going to do the interview, that's the best reason I can think of. :cope:
