Just watching Savaran on sportsbeat and a few highlights from BC's press conference today. He mentioned, in so many words, that the starters may not even play on thursday against the Panthers. You better get a program if you're watching this game because most of the familiar faces won't be on the field very long, if at all.

I suppose he and the coaches have seen enough of the starters to know what they have this year and they need more information on the young guys and backups to make those tough decisions for cutting down to 53 players.

That's fine by me, at least then we know the Steelers will make it through preseason without any major injuries to the starters!

I have to think the coach with the best regular season winning percentage since 1992 knows what he's doing...

Batch would probably get atleast the whole first quarter, and then Boyd & Jacobs would split time the rest of the game.

I agree with ya Cleve. I would have liked to see our line play better but I'll take my chances to have them all healthy to start the season.

I agree with Cowher on this move. Play the second and third stringers. Keep the starters healthy leading up to the game on Thursday. Cowher has been around for 15 seasons and he knows exactly what needs to be done. I have all the confidence and trust in the Pointy Chin.
