Very simple...

2 each cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, cream of mushroom soup mix together. Add 2 cups of rice uncooked. mix well. Put it in a baking dish. Put 6 chicken pieces on top (I use breasts.) Sprinkle evenly 1 pkg of onion soup mix on top. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hr. Uncover and bake for 1/2 hour more.

Sorry everyone! On 2nd thought...I usually use 5 cans of soup. Just take out 1 of whichever you want.

that sounds good..i am going to make that...so you use 6 cans of soup?I know it sounds crazy. Alot of times I use 5. The rice uses the soup to cook and absorbs it to flavor it. This recipe works great if you have little time for prep but can afford the bake time and it makes your house smell great. (Like you've been cooking all day!) lol!

I've done this alot when I'mmaking a meal for a family that just had a baby or someone is sick or something because you can put it together and give it to them uncooked and then they can just pop it in the oven when they're ready for it. I've always gotten positive comments back.

My mother used to make something like this. I will definitely have to give this one a try. Thanks!

Update. It has been a while since I made this for myself. Make sure that you use a baking dish that is larg enough to leave room at the top. I just made this today. Put it in the oven and left to pick up the carpool. The liquid came out over the top and started spilling all over the oven. Smoke all thru the house and the smike detector was going off. It's a royal mess! Thank God for self cleaning ovens! :cursin:

I love the chicken and rice type dishes. I can do without the creme of mushroom part though. You could take out the cream of mushroom and just use one more of the others. Honestly though, it's not like the mushrooms are really detectable. You may not even know if you hadn't put it together.

chicken and rice always goes great together. We make it with lemon pepper seasoning alot too, which is really good.
