I am not a baseball fan at all. The Tigers have been losing for at least 20 years + I think they are doing well, I guess they lost the other day though, Like I mentioned I know nada about baseball. I understand the game it is just too slow to keep my attention. Seems like I can almost clean a room between pitches :)

It's all about the coach!!! The Pirates had a chance to bring Leyland back but the Tigers beat them to the punch.

Exactly. Jimmy Leyland is a ton better than, um, whoever was there before.

Wasn't it Alan Tramell? I thought they brought him in and it was a popular move at first because he was so well loved. But then it turned out he was not the man for the manager position. Seems to show that fast tracking someone to managment based on playing history isn't always the best options.

The Tigers are a solid Baseball team. That young pitching and combined with Jim Leyland is the biggest reasons for their success this year.
