5 to 6 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into small chunks
1/4 cup mustard
1 cup water
8 -10 garlic cloves, sliced

Combine all ingredients in your slow cooker. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours

Variation: add 1 cup of BBQ sauce or 1 cup of soy sauce

8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1-8 oz. bottle Catalina salad dressing
1 envelope dry mix onion soup
10 oz jar apricot preserves

Place chicken breasts in your slow cooker. Pour remaining ingredients on top of chicken. No need to mix. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours on low.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Hey Psycho...do you think I could use venison instead for that beef recipe? Would I need to add or change anything?

oh yeah you could!! i use venison a lot in different dishes never in this one but i don't see why you couldn't!

Thanks. I have a bunch of venison in the freezer. I just wasn't sure how it would be with the mustard? I'll give it a try. :bigthumb:

BTW, if you have any other really good recipes using venison, I'd really appreciate you sharing them.

I just gave you these recipes....dont let him fool you he will never make them....

lol...it is bs that he uses venison in it..i am suprised he knows what it is...but honestly I would think it would be good. I know I put venison in chile, spaghetti etc. and it is good....i just called him and harrassed him about this also....

Hell yeah, they are a God send when you don't feel like coming home from work and cooking a meal. Just get it ready the night before and toss it in before you leave for work.

Those crockpot liners are awesome too, makes cleanup a snap !

i use my crockpot weekly i have not tried the liners yet though. i keep forgetting they make them...it sure would be nice...

We never used our crockpot much because cleanup was such a pain, but with these liners, it's awesome.

i do use it but yes it is a pain...chili is the worst...but i think i am going to get these and try them....

anytime...send some my way ...it is my husbands birthday today and i dont want to cook...i even made my corned beef and cabbage in mine on saturday and it was good....

Walmart has those liners pretty cheap, but they don't come too many to a pack so use them wisely :lol:

thank you...walmart is my favorite store..i am there like 2-3 times a week...i have a sign outside my house that says if i am not home try walmart...cleve got it for me...:lol:

Since so many here are from NE Ohio, we need to meet up sometime this summer up in Ganeva On the Lake for a get together:bigthumb:

oh we all love geneva on the lake..it is only about 20-30 minutes from me only about 15 for pyscho...that would be fun....my husband loves to ride his bike out there...

I love to have a bike but you know.:lol:
I live next door(literally) to Cleveland Hopkins Airport so it's about an hour or a little less for me. wife and I go and get a room and just make a weekend of it with NO kids
