So does anyone here follow the AFL? I have only recently put some interest in it (no Pittsburgh team! :willybs: ) and have yet to place loyalties to any team until I know more about the teams and their histories. Only definite is that I won't root for a Dallas team or a New York City team.

I consider myself a casual AFL fan, but I think I'm gonna start watching it more. It's starting to get more national coverage. They have a contract with ESPN & ABC this year. Plus, I'm gonna be keeping an eye on the defending champion Chicago Rush!!! :D
I watch it and I like it... I recognize a lot of the names from college and the NFL. I'd like to make it up to a Destroyers game this year. :redcool:

Damn! New York could only muster up 7 points?! That's sad! You should be able to accidentally get, at least, 2 or 3 TD's in the AFL!!

Here's the bigger question, does the New York team actually play in New York?

I am a fan of Grand Rapids Rampage. I've been to a few of their games, they aren't a bad team, but they do need some players that can play the game.

I've been a fan of the Arena Football League since its inaugural season and I am also a fan of the Tampa Bay Storm (who are originally the Pittsburgh Gladiators, who were in the AFL from 1987 through 1990).

If I come see that its on I'll watch it but I don't follow it that closely. I am a huge football fan so I like it. They have an AFL2 team up near me in Youngstown now and their expansion season is this year. I look forward to seeing a couple games in person.
