The Ravens are expected to clear $3.3 million in cap room when they cut Jamal Lewis before the running back receives a $5 million roster bonus next month.

But that might be the only cap savings for the Ravens because Newsome said he doesn't expect the team to cut anyone else before free agency begins in March.

Thats awesome. He is washed up anyway. I hate the Ratbirds and I know Lewis sucks anymore. But who is going to run the ball for the Ratbirds now? I think the next RB on their depth chard is old *** Mike Anderson.:bluelol: I'm thinking the Ravens draft a RB at some point in this draft. I hope they do not get Michael Bush. I like Bush and would hate him playing for the Ratbirds.

In step Musa Smith. This kid is going to be good. This kid was hyped to be better then chester taylor. But with ogden on the outskirts who knows what will happen.

I think the jury is still out on Musa Smith.
He's had some injury issues the past couple of years and has been shelfed on the IR.
Last year he was out with a neck injury and I won't forget in the '05 season when Roy Williams snapped his leg like a chicken bone and Musa's leg was facing the wrong direction........it was a really bad break to see.

Man, it's a shame he is a crack head, if it wasn't for that I would love to see him in Black and Gold.

Yea if he was 2000 yard Jamal Lewis then it would be worth to take a look. But with his health issues and the hits he has taken since being in the NFL it might be starting to take a toll on him. Its amazing Jerome lasted as long as he did. The Big power backs don't have a long productive careers. Look at Earl Campbell. He was a beast but his style wore his body out and he didn't have as long of a career as he should have had.

That 2000 yd season took its toll on him, the ankle injury and going to jail didn't help either the next season. He kinda ran like his old self late in the season but it was to little to late.

If he wasnt injured
If he wasnt old
If he wasn't a drug dealer
If he didnt do jailtime
If he didnt smoke away all his profits....

Jailbird Jamal can fade off in the purple sunset and stay as far as away from Pittsburgh as possible. This is all you need to know about Jamal Lewis...

That's actually my former boss, at a Ratbird game in 2005. He's a big Titans fan so when the Ratbird and Titans played he went down to Baltimore in the jailbird getup , everybody loved it
