decent pick surprisingly enough, but at this point i would probably cry if Spencer went to be patriot scum lol

Is lynch to the pack that sure of a thing????every mock has it

(we know philly, mocks are pointless until after the combine, thanks in advanced for your input)

i've never even heard of the dude................ the i've lost my want for spencer lol, at this point i want the best available OLB/DE, but i still wouldn't mind him

i don't like what i read on him, i think it's a retarded first round pick lol

this year is stacked at DE/OLB, which is great since its our biggest need

We get our hopes up for players like Okoye and Spencer and more than likely we won't end up with either of them

You just have to trust Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin (all the Steeler scouts) to make sound picks. It would be nice if they read all the Pittsburgh sports blogs for suggestions but we know they don't and won't!

Since it does appear that we will get a couple extra picks for last years free agent losses I hope they do some wheeling and dealing to move up in a couple places to nab some quality stars! Because you know we don't have the room on the roster for 9 picks to make the team anyway! Trade away a couple picks to gain draft positions! Just remember that there are draft gems out there on day 2 even though the Steelers rarely find one!

Examples: :bigthumb:

Tom Brady, QB, New England was a 6th round pick!
Marques Coleston, WR, New Orleans was a 7th round pick!
Brandon Jacobs, RB, New York Giants was a 4th round pick!
Terrel Davis, RB, Denver was a 6th round pick!
Shannon Sharpe, TE, Denver was a 7th round pick!
Jamal Anderson, RB, Atlanta was a 7th round pick!
Leon Lett, DT, Dallas was a 7th round pick!
Zach Thomas, LB, Miami was a 5th round pick!
Rodney Harrison, S, San Diego was a 5th round pick!

the thing is, even if we previously did draft some superstar, we would never know because cowher never kept late round picks, he would never replace a veteren player with a 7th round pick...its just the way he always was

:iagree:

I think thats why Steeler Nation is abuzz with new hope that with the regime change we will finally see the good ole boy network busted up and thrown away! Musta been a hopeless feeling getting drafted late by the Steelers! Knowing that no matter how badly you beat out the veteran ahead of you on the depth chart you were still gonna get cut! I don't want to bash BC but at the same time I am glad he is gone! I will be very dissappointed if BC is overly critical of the Steelers on his football analysis! :cursin:

There is one thing that I do like about this one........Charles Johnson is not a bad pick. I think he can play DE in a 4-3 or a OLB in a 3-4. But the thing that I like is Anthony Spencer sliding to the 2nd round. Perhaps we could move up and get him too in this scenario. Those 2 guys could do a lot for the depth of our OLB's or DE's. If we grabbed these 2 guys plus a O-lineman and a RB on day one (2 3rd's w/compensatory pick) I would be very happy!

but moses>johnson imo

im sorry but i really think we need brian leonard in the second, but if we grabbed 2 olbs in the first 2 rounds i would be happy with hunt in the third...i really want leonard though

i would say second or third round, these guys must have a thing for him like they have for each other

that's why the only mock drafts i look at are footballsfuture.com and nfldraftcountdown.com, these other guys like foxsports, cbs, nfl, they make some stupid picks and don't have any real reasons.......

Hmmmm. Most mocks have us taking either Derrelle Revis or Jarvis Moss. I don't know about this guy though. I think if we do draft a DE he will be good because this class of DE's is very very good.
