Not more than 12 hours from the end of SB XLI and we're already getting early odds for next year. Obviously there are thousands of things that could easily change this but it's fun to look at anyways.

I love to cough :bsflag: on this one. The Steelers are going to be on the top of things with this season approaching. I can't wait til July 2nd.

We need to get this up in the Casino :bigthumb:

I am a little surprised to see the Steelers in the Top 12 especially with all the changes that have taken place. Given the Steelers do have essentially the same team from SB XL then it could happen... "Chuckie" did it with the Buccaneers :dunno:

Well, Friday, I have confidence and assurance. I am pretty darn sure those odds will be off for the Steelers come next January.

20-1 is almost worth taking, although I do have issues with the bungles odd's.

I was thinking the same thing. They are stretching with the Bengals. I'll take some of that 20-1 though.

I might wait until after the draft. I have issues betting on anything more than individual games in the NFL, b/c I am biased on who I think will win the SB. Plus if I use my head and not my heart, I would end up having a breakdown rooting for my money and my team. Too much of a conflict of interest. Plus I make it a habit not to put money on the Steelers, or against them, ever.

I always put money on the Steelers. Usually some friendly local bets though. I'm with ya though on betting against the Steelers. I'd just not bet if I thought they didn't have a shot of winning a game.

No way the Bears are coming back unless Grossman has surgery to get his head out of his ***.....lol

WTF? Why are the Bungles 12-1 and we're 20-1? We were both 8-8, we just won a SB while they are just a few years removed from being a laughingstock, and they have no defense.

Its all good let them have the Steelers as 20-1 odds to make it. I dont want us to be favored and have all the pressure on us to win it. The media and the experts are already picking Indy to repeat a lot more then they did this time last year. They didnt pick the Steelers to repeat at all. Id rather fly under the radar with a new coach and everybody expecting us to fall on our *** under Tomlin. The Steelers are due to win this division again and get back in the playoffs. The Ravens wont go 13-3 again their schedule will be very tough, and Cincy will continue to be a joke until they can get out of jail and fix their defense. The Steelers usually if you look at the pattern here since 2000 have a very good regular season record every 3 years. They went 13-3 in 2001,15-1 in 2004,both times getting homefield and reaching the AFC Championship game. So 2007 is another 3 years which means we are due to reload and regroup again with Ben being in his 4th year as a QB which is usually a qb's best year in terms of maturity and getting better. The Steelers will be back next year and I think have a good as shot as anybody in the AFC to get back to the Super Bowl and win it.

As far as the prognosticators go we shouldnt have any pressure next year on us; however we fans know that the Rooneys will demand a successful season and our winning ways to continue with little room for variance from that tone. They believe Tomlin can do the job and it's not like we're in a rebuilding phase or anything so I fully expect us to challenge for the division title and the playoffs if we continue with past history...but on the other hand we could most definitely struggle depending on how well the players take to Tomlin and his changes.

In the way Tomlin carries himself, I think he would have higher expectations then even the Rooneys. Cowher came and posted a 11-5 record in his first season.....me personally I'm thinking no worse then 10-6, make the playoffs and then who knows.....Tomlin will get the teams respect in no time at all and players will look forward to the new season and the changes. Like you said Top we're not rebuilding and we've got the talent, its just a matter of getting on the same page as Tomlin and continue the success we're used to.

The players should be coming in hungry and with something to prove.
