Okay, with Heath Miller out for the beginning of the season, we will need to establish our red zone package. So let me run some things by everyone:

1. Should Plax be our first option in the red zone?

2. Can Brown be more of a factor in the red zone then what we've seen?

3. Should Justin Brown (because of his size) be the first option in the red zone.

4. Should we go after the best TE that becomes available?

5. Will Bell be significant down in the red zone?

Right now, I'm thinking that Plax HAS TO BE the first option in the red zone. He's a veteran who a few years ago was one of the best in the red zone. He and Ben will establish that re pore very quickly now that he's here for an entire camp and I can see Plax being the best teacher in the world to Justin Brown.

Everyone has sky high hopes for Weaton (and we should) but Brown could be a real force down there because Plax will draw a ton of coverage. Brown could be our new Plax with all the one on one coverage he's going to get. I"m just sayin.........

Brown might not even make the team... And if he does, he won't see the field. Not this year at least. No sure how many recievers they'll carry but with Antonio Brown, Sanders, Plax, Cotch, Wheaton and Reggie Dunn probably making the team as a return man (Tomlin loves a return specialist hah), best bet is that Justin Brown will be on the Practice Squad.

Plax isn't even a lock to make the team.....I see the team keeping Plax or Cotchery but not both....Maybe I'm wrong on that.....

I think Brown has to be more of a factor in the red zone.......Somebody needs to step up since Wallace is gone and Wallace scored TD's.......Brown doesn't have height on his side but has the toughness to be a solid red zone option.......

Justin Brown is probably headed to the practice squad unless he just lights up training camp/pre-season......

If the Steelers wanted to upgrade the TE position they should have drafted one.....

If the Steelers OL stays healthy and develops within the new blocking scheme then yes I expect the Steelers pound the ball a ton in the red zone especially 10 yards or less.....So Bell and Redman both could be have decent TDs totals this year.....

But to Plax, if yes he does indeed make the team the only place I see him being a factor really is the redzone....

I'm really anxious to see Wheaton though and hopefully he picks up the offense quickly....I wouldn't be shocked if he led the team in TD receptions his rookie year.......I see him running the quick slant like Holmes use to.......

Don't shoot the messenger, but I saw a thread where the Steelers may look at Kellen Winslow, JR. (not a fan of his) and still looking at Tim Tebow.

Could either of these be brought in until Heath is ready for "Red Zone" options?

You should never go back to that thread or read any of their stuff again.

They will have different plays at different times in the red zone. They will target different people at different times. I don't think there will be one main red zone target, unless it's Bell out of the back field. Once Heath comes back, that will all change.
