So guys the pens are being tossed all over the place.

Iginla, Stewart, Talbot, Johnson..

What do you think our needs are?

Who do think we should take a run at?

I would love iginla because of his leadership, grit, and ability to set up shop in front of the net but the crosby line is firing on all cylinders and bennett looks 2nd line worthy right now it doesnt seem like we need a top 6 winger but if we got him i wouldnt complain the price may be too high tho for more then likely a rental player.

In reality i think all we need is a good stay at home defensive dman like a gill, scuderi type.

And then just try to beef up our 3rd n 4th lines. With some big grinders that have some scoring touch too. Guys that dont have to put the puck in the net much. Our 3-4 lines dont now neway. But are good at puck possession and keeping it away from the other team tiring them out.

No Tanger will hurt, I wonder if this will push Ray to make some trades for D??

Ya i hope he aint out long. It was easier at the beginning of the season to say what we need but now with the whole team finally playing defensive together its tougher to find holes but you can always upgrade.

A nice top 4 pairing defensively responsible dman would be nice.

About my comment of beefing up the 3rd n 4th lines. If we grabbed a top 6 winger then we could bump someone down to help boost the 3rd line. I was all for Iginla on crosbys line and putting dupuis on the 3rd

Lines like

Kunitz- Crosby- Iginla
Bennett-Malkin-Neal
Cooke- Sutter- Dupuis

Those would be 3 very solid lines....

But now that dupper is killing it on crosbys line too i dont really wanna touch it.

Maybe

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis

Neal-Malkin-Iginla

Cooke- Sutter- Bennett

Idk....

We deff would be better served getting a good solid dman tho

Paul Martin is back and forth either playing well or like **** but i wont lie hes leaps n bounds better then he was last yr... i dk if we trade him cause i doubt anyone wants his 5 mil a yr deal.

Talbot would be a solid pickup to put on the 3rd line and boot kennedys *** to the 4th..

Just think if we got talbot n iginla our lines would be ridiculous... 1-4

But if we got both those guys we wouldnt have nemore assets to get a dman
