I was just wondering what everyone thinks about Wallace being resigned? Every article or team stream report I read it seems that he is on his way out no matter what the situation. I understand a lot needs to happen financially and with certain players for the final decision to be made, but like I said it seems that everyone has already made up their minds that he is going to be playing for a different team.

I think he will get the big payday elsewhere.

Done. He's not a defensive player.

I hope he stays ... I would love to keep Wallace and Brown and trade Sanders ...
I'd even tender Sanders with like a 5th round or something , and hope somebody takes him , and take the extra pick...
Draft one of these players in the first 3 rounds
Justin Hunter / 1st-2nd (doubt he falls to us in the 2nd)
De'Andre Hopkins / 1st-2nd (doubt he falls to us in the 2nd)
Cobi Hamilton / 2nd-3rd
Terrance Williams / 1st-2nd (doubt he falls to us in the 2nd)
Aaron Dobson / 2nd-3rd

Without a doubt, Wallace will be someplace else next year.

Colbert said " at 8-8 we do not have a franchise player"........no way do we pay Wallace the $$ he wants. We can pick up a Top WR in the draft and keep him for 4 years. We need to get out of the Salary Cap problem and be able to draft the odd FA once in a while.
Brown, Sanders, Top WR in Draft, Cotchery and Cheap FA pickup.
Thats my bet.

Steelers can't afford him, sucks, but that's the reality of the business side of football.
I say he is 80% out the door.

Its too bad, but he didn't perform well this year, well none of the receivers performed in 2012.

Wallace is gone..........we need to target the players we want before their rookie contract is up. Like Brown.....Lewis was a different story as this was his best year. Now we are stuck paying more if we can keep him at all.
The best way to do it is sign them to a 5 or 6 year deal and if you are happy with their performance you approach them in year 4 or 5 and get the extension done.....thus the long time Steelers!!
It is gonna be a fun and interesting offseason and next year as well.

If I'm going to use the Franchise tag it would be on Keenan Lewis and I'd be working on a long term deal now with his agent.

The only thing they could do is no exclusive franchise tag him. Which allows him to still try to get signed. The Rams have two first rounders and Miami has two second rounders.

Losing high round draft pick players will not make you a good team, and this team seems to have a habit of doing it!!

no worries....
The Steelers signed wide receiver Kashif Moore today to Reserve/Future contract for the 2013 season.
Moore originally signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted rookie free agent out of the University of Connecticut on May 2, 2012. He spent training camp with the Bengals but was released prior to the start of the 2012 season. Moore then spent parts of the 2012 season on the practice squads of the Houston Texans, San Diego Chargers and Indianapolis Colts.
