my list of free agent targets that wont break the bank. i didn't list current steelers ( i hope we re-sign lewis and starks)

1. Joique Bell RB - He's got a great combination of speed and power. He's got the bulk to run inside, and the speed to hit holes across the line. Pass catching/blocking skills are more than capable, giving him a well rounded base as a 3 down back. He is Restricted... but I doubt they put a 1st/2nd round tender on him. He was an UDFA so... we may be able to pluck him with a decent offersheet.

2. Delanie Walker TE - Criminally underused because he's behind Vernon Davis. I think he could be an every down weapon and give us a much more dangerous weapon to attack the seems with

3. Justin Forstett RB - He only fits if we move to more of a zone blocking scheme (which i think we are built for now). He's a great 1 cut back who is undersized and would only be a change of pace runner. Not a 3rd down back.

4. Ramses Barden WR - The only way to really address our lack of talent at WR is in the draft. But we also need to scour free agency for a reclaimation project and Barden fits the bill. At worst, he could be someone we develop into a red zone threat. You can't teach 6'6".

5. Louis Vasquez OG - Capable of playing all 3 interior spots. Could compete to start at LG, while providing depth as a backup

Defense

1. Lawrence Jackson DE - It's not too late to convert him. I think he would be a great addition, even if only as a 3rd down specialist. He can play inside and out.

2. Laron Landry S - I think he'll be affordable. This move only makes sense if an unforseen move is made with our current safeties.

3. Antwan Barnes OLB - Barnes really looked like he had broken through in 2011, only to fall off the map in 2012. Again, I'm looking for situational 3rd down players who can wreak a little more havoc.

4. Kentwan Balmer DE - We need to get some depth on the Dline. He's been a bust since being drafted, 1 more chance?

5. Dustin Colquit P - It's time to get a punter who does good things. Big leg when needed, accurate leg for pinning guys deep.

Walker, Barden, Barnes, Colquit.......would be happy for those four........

Finally a meaningful thread that pertains to the Steelers! I like Landry at the S pos.
