View Full Version : Best Tackling Corners?

It seems to me that the Lebeau defense relies on physical, corners who can tackle in space. With Keenan Lewis and Ike Taylor playing this season, they have had those guys. I watch a lot of games, and I can't recall seeing a team whose corners are as willing and able to tackle on the edge. The WR screens and passes to RBs in the flat just don't do much to the Steelers.

What do you guys think? Have you seen better tackling corners in the NFL this season?

I can't think of any other team that does. I think the Steelers have the best tackling defense in the league overall

I think Lebeau has finally found his two corners. It's always been Ike and "that other guy" who's under performed. Even back in the day when the Steelers had Dewayne Washington and Chad Scott, who were good together for a short time before they both tailed off, they were better tacklers than cover guys.

If they can manage to keep Taylor and Lewis together for awhile I'll be happy. Cortez Allen is a fine NB and hopefully Curtis Brown can start to come on.
