View Full Version : Score predictions for Steelers vs Ravens

You might want to take off your black n gold sunglasses for this one folks. Even if AB and Troy are back, Ben still isn't likely to play. We better hope no linebackers get hurt since Woodley is doubtful. In the big picture this game isn't as important as the remaining four after it. Just go in, try as hard as you can to win and then focus on winning out the remaining games.

I can't, in good faith ever post up that the Ravens will beat the Steelers so I'll just say this one is going to be close, and yes I think the Steelers do have a chance if they don't turn the ball over.

My gut feeling is that the Steelers will struggle on the road but the other side of me says they will pull it off as long as they don't turn the ball over like Blitz said

Come on Blitz,

Come on. No Ben. No chance.
We can close this thread. None of us really want to lament about this. Batch is the QB. Nuff said.

At this point I have Batch tossing 3 more INT's and a repeat of the browns game, they'll crowd the line and force flipper to beat them with his arm.

Meanwhile Flacco has been $ at home. Could be a mess!

Exactly. It's not going to be good. Let's close this thread.

With Batch 35-3 Ravens now close the thread.

I don't see any way we win this game with Batch. After the way we played last week, it's hard to be optimistic. That paired with the fact that the Ravens are the most dominant home team in the NFL. Will probably get pretty ugly in a hurry.

I hate the Ravens as much as anyone. So, I'll say the defense is inspired by the return of Polamalu and scores again. Batch plays better in the short passing game. Antonio Brown, Heath Miller, and Jonathan Dwyer make some key plays. Steelers win 20-19 to shock the NFL world.

At first I was not too confident. But the more I think about it, the more I think they can pull it out. They could have easily won last game. The Ravens home streak must end. Batch has had a week of practice. I think we are better than 6-5 and the Ravens are nowhere near being an actual 8-2 team.

A lot has to go right for us to win this game. First and foremost no turnovers. The rest of the offense needs to step up and help Batch out. The defense has been playing good ball. They need to play great ball Sunday. Its going to be tough

Baltimore have a good chance of winning, they can smell the afc div cham

It's a win if Flacco is spitting teeth!

No turnovers, no special teams splash plays, no let down on defense. If that happens and the Steelers and Ravens play straight up, then I say the Steelers have a chance. It is key for them to take the lead because with Batch, the Steelers offense is not built to come from behind. Rough game, and I hate to say it, but without Ben, unless Flacco looks like Batch last week, Steelers drop to 6-6.

Ravens: 20
Steelers: 7

PS: If the Steelers lose, but knock Flacco or Rice out for the rest of the season, I would be OK with that.

Last week I predicted a Cleveland win on a similar thread. The line on the game this week is Ravens -9.5. I am thinking the Ravens win by 4 points and that Pittsburgh covers the spread.

Conspiracy... Every play we make over 15 yards will have a flag... in the ravens bird cage...

8:44 minutes in... About 5 minutes later than Charlie Batch!

I'm gonna cut Charlie some slack. Only a few weeks ago he was carrying a clipboard, of course he was rusty. Two of those ints weren't his fault. Bad route by plax and a bobble by Wallace. He got no help, 5 fumbles. I think Charlie is going to play alot better tomorrow. Not certain it will be enough, but we'll see.

I smell an upset brewing in Baltimore today. Batch had a good week of practice, Wallace was demoted and will be hungry, Brown will be of some help to this anemic offense, Troy P. will be free to roam the defense, and finally Dwyer getting most of the carries today. I just have a feeling this game will boil over to a Steelers win.

Steelers 20-17

Thanks. I just had a gut feeling due to all the negativity floating around this week after that Cleveland game that the Steelers had a chip on their shoulder and something to prove.

Eh - pretty close. Wallace had big catches on the final drive. And the Steelers were sloppier than I thought they could be and still win. But, what a great victory!

If Batch delivers a catchable ball to Wallace in the end zone and Sanders doesn't strip himself on the run, this game would not have been close. . .didn't happen, but good teams show resolve and find a way to win. I predicted 20-7 Ravens, and have never been happier to be wrong.
