exactly, the defense, once again, kept them in this.....just like the raven game....and the offense couldnt come up with one last drive, even though they were given three chances i think, within the last eight minutes of the game.....

This game was so bad that Jack Lambert was called for a penalty!

Hey....it was spread out between like 5 guys....a team effort if you will. Penalties helped alot yet again....

Why didnt Batch come out with three INT's??

And put in who? A guy that knows, perhaps 10 plays?

One INT was a Wallace bobble. Ben has won plenty of games with two INTs. The fumbles, holding calls, etc. were FAR more responsible for this loss than Batch.

Why didnt Batch come out with three INT's??

You have to blame Wallace for one pick, and Haley for the other two!!! Haley actually thought Batch was strong enough to hit Plax on a deep out??? And the deep throw to Wallace?? Maybe Charlie 10 years younger. both horrible calls!

I thought last week was the worst performance by our offense in years. But this week we looked like the Bad News Bears. Simply unacceptable for an offense that needed to win this game. Defense played great except Taylor should have had an intrrception but thats Ike.

It was embarassing to watch no doubt.

Disgrace and the laughable thing is we still could have pulled that game out if the O
had put anything sustainable together. Batch's throws looked like....Well,a washed up
clipboard holding game has past him by QB that he is. I would look real hard at Hoyer
for this Ratbirds game because Batch will NOT survive this next game.

Maybe that is the plan moving forward Leftwich looked bad as well. I am just in bad mood right now. I need another drink!!!:cope:

You can almost count on it, losing to the real losers all the time now. A real trend under MT. Another season in the tank.

Wow just wow...

-8 Turnovers
-Every RB on our Roster
-Doug Legursky would not be on any other teams roster... why is he still on ours.
-Front Office needs slapped for not having a servicable backup... we need someone who can step in. Not someone were gonna throw a bone to have a roster spot.
-Tomlin is a douche, benching everyone for Rainey (then he fumbled too) and trying to run Rainey up the gut. That touchdown was all Rainey and was a HORRIBLE play call! Tomlin gets "tough" with the RB's but lets Leftwhich finish last weeks game. Douchbag.
-Ziggy Hood still getting beat up.

Today was an epic fail...

(PS. im not gonna ride Beachum, just a rook, first action ever = deer in headlights, poor guy)

Legursky is a very good back up center. That's why he's on the roster. He's a terrible back up guard though.

This game was an anomaly with the #3 QB starting. I really didn't expect much from the O, though I thought they'd do enough to win.

But your point is valid. Too many times, we've seen the Steelers play down to the level of the opponent and let them stick around long enough to pull out a W. Oakland and Tennessee this year are prime examples of that. When I look at Baltimore hanging 55 on them or seeing the Pats kick the ever living **** out of the Jets, I think we should be blowing out bad teams like that as well.

Give credit to Clev D, TO's were invented at pre-game..Our O sucks w/out Ben and our D hasnt been able to force TO's for the past 2 yrs, albeit a nice pick 6 today

It appears all the time that the team does no prep for these loser teams. All the time. And we lose all the time.

I respectfully disagree with every ounce of my being... just b/c a guy can snap the ball doesnt make him "very good." He is terrible and has been terrible every single time he touches the field. Legursky = Stapleton

It was seven when I typed it, just after they had punted us down to the 9 yard line (I think it was), then after they started throwing it around, they fumbled again to make it eight. Point still stands though, far too many turnovers

Yes i know we had our third string qb in, But it was still inexcusable. 8 turnovers! Other guys that needed to step up, did not. A million penalties! We need to get out of there with a w.

Let's put Batch's performance in perspective. Here are some of the down and distances he had to deal with in their drives:

3-15-PIT15
2-16-PIT8
3-19-PIT5
3-8-PIT24
3-10-CLE26
1-20-PIT11
2-16-PIT15
3-14-PIT17
3-19-PIT12
1-20-PIT19
2-26-PIT13
2-32-PIT7
3-32-PIT7
2-12-CLE30
2-19-PIT37

Charlie did not put himself in all of those 2nd or 3rd and forever situations and no third string QB in the league would have gotten the team out of them.

You know what a football and the Browns have in common? Their both the color of #*#t and float and if you get either in your hands there both slippery. I guess our equip manager forgot the stick um spray yesterday.

This is how bad it was. We left the game with a little more than two minutes left in the game, after our 6th turnover. We wanted to beat the traffic and drunk browns fans leaving the stadium looking for a fight. The Steelers turned it over two more times after that! Unreal! Its been a longtime since ive seen a Steelers team play this badly. If we had been playing a good team, we woud have gotten destroyed.

Speeed

In a sense he did. Had he moved the ball up field, even after a 4th down punt, the Steelers would have had more advantageous field position.

Batch was part of the reason HE WAS IN THOSE SITUATIONS! I can count at least 3-4 times where he messed up a 3-5 yard throw to a wide open WR on 1st or 2nd down. He played terrible, there is no defending him.
