View Full Version : Ryan Clark with another concussion

That's 2 this year if I'm not mistaken; 2 in the last 3 weeks. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that but still his head and neck bent back in an ugly way when he hit the thigh of Dewayne Bowe.

Tomlin said after the game he's being evaluated for the concussion.

He'll have to go through all the tests this week; hopefully he'll be ready to go.

I love how he plays...so violent and so dedicated! But he has just got to stop leading with his head. He is hurting himself...and we just can't take it any more. we need Ryan, especially with Troy out.

Evaluated for a concussion doesn't mean he has one. Just saying.

Thing is, usually them test come back as concussions, there is a possibility though that its not.

Worse was the additional Polamalu injury tonight. He sprained three fingers playing the piano in a commercial during the two minute warning. Out another 4-6 weeks...

Don't forget the Fines that Harrison picked up tonight. Since Polamalu is tone deaf Goddell nailed Harrison for $50 grand.

Clark tweeted out a little while ago.

Uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh! Son of a biscuit eater!! Glad we won that game!! It would've been bad news!! I'm good, heading for treatment now!!

Looked like he was out cold to me. Maybe not.

Clark will play.. His brain is just loose from all the hits... So it sloshes around a bit.. Hell come around.

Tomlin said he thinks Clark will be fine. He'll have to go through and pass all the concussion tests but unless he has a setback the dude will play.

His brain might be goo when he's 70 yds old but he won't stay off the field if he can possibly help it. He's too old school and throwback to not play.

Not trying to be funny here, but if these guys who lead with their head arewn't more careful, they're going to wind up like Muhammad Ali when they're older.

Thankfully he caught Bowe in the thigh and not the knee or hip; that would have been worse for Clark.

So looks like Clark will play. Any word on Polamalu?. That guy has been out for a while now, just in time for more Shampoo commercials !

Troy is very doubtful..

The tackles look fantastic when there made, but it almost makes you say "get up" after the play is made.

I know it's his style, but he has to start wrapping up more. Troy too, if he ever comes back. I love both players, but everytime they launch their bodies low, I hold my breath for a second. Didn't Ike Taylor get shook up last week doing the exact same launching low thing?

Lost in all this Ben talk today, Ryan Clark was limited in practice but did participate. Many people are writing that his status is in doubt for Sunday night. While that may technically be true, if he doesn't play it will be because Tomlin holds him out even if he is ready. Clark is too stubborn not to go if he can.
