Getting really sick of willie Colon and his holding penalties. He's always good for at least two a game. Wish we could get rid of this pansy.

And if Mike Wallace wants his big contract, start playing like it. He was awful today. Several drops, a penalty. Not showing he's worth megatron money.

Wallace never wanted Megatron money....Funny Brown had drops as well....I just find it funny Wallace drops a ball and he is the antichrist but Brown drops a ball and its ok....lol Brown's dropped TD was the main reason the Steelers needed a last second field goal to win today.....

As for Willie Colon....He should be shot but he was a monster in run blocking today.....

Brown had two huge drops.....One over the middle early in the game when Ben hit him in stride......Brown might have scored on that one as well but at least it would have been a big play...Of course the pass in the end zone that hit off AB's hands on a perfectly thrown ball by Ben......

Mike had a bad game but has been good this year. Crotchety also got tripped up by the 5 yard line that would have been a sure td.

I've never been a fan of colon and will never be. Drives me insane!

Mike had a dropped TD...but I think I was just as pissed at Pouncey's high snaps that could have turned into turnovers...who let Kemo sneak into this game wearing Colon's jersey???

Why does everyone always bash wallace? Brown dropped a td today and besides the jets game he's done nothing. Not to mention the fumble 2 weeks ago. Brown is the one getting paid big bucks right now. Not Mike.

Colon was unlucky today there was lots of holding on every play the officials seemed to be focused on the Steelers today .I'M GIVING Colon a pass Wallace had only one play that i didn't think he was playing hyard on it was the jump ball in the end zone he didn't bother to jump other than that he didn't have ahuge day but he did ok

Gotta love it. Plays extremely well the first three games, has one subpar game and now he's a bum again lol. Jesus this **** just never ends. How can anyone bitch about Wallace's play today? He was blatantly held twice (one that would've been a TD at the end of the first half), both of which weren't called, and he was blatantly interfered with by Asomugha on that 4th down heave to the endzone and that wasn't called. Not to mention that Ben overthrew him on what would've been an easy long TD. The man has one drop, ONE, and the bashing starts again... Seriously? Give the man a f*cking break.

On the other hand. Antonio Brown drops TWO balls, one that would've been a TD on an absolute perfect throw by Ben, and no one says anything. HE'S the one making all the money! Mike Wallace has been better than Brown this season (though Brown has plays generally well). Antonio has a few drops on the season, 2 fumbles against Oakland (one that was huge and contributed to the loss), every catch he gets up and acts like he broke the NFL f*cking record for receiving yards, and talks **** to the media, yet Wallace is the one that gets bashed after one game. Now I love Antonio Brown. I love what he brings to the team. But the man is underperforming for the money he's making, and deserves more criticism than Wallace.

Every player has a couple subpar games a season, can we please not be completely ridiculous over one f*cking game... Please?

I have been bringing up the fact that Brown had drops as well.........Its funny that Mike Wallace will continue to be the antichrist for holding out.....It was ok when Ward held out and its ok when Brown drops balls but not Mike Wallace.....

Wallace, 8 targets, 2 catches, 17 yards, 8.5 YPC.
Brown: 10 targets, 7 catches, 86 yards, 12.3 YPC.

I don't see why you guys are so keen on defending Colon in terms of penalties. He has been aweful in that regard all season.

Mike Adams: 1 False start
Kelvin Beachum: 1 False start
Willie Colon: 2 False start, 4 Holding
Ramon Foster: 1 False Start
Marcus Gilbert: 1 False Start, 1 something else which I cannot figure out, but gave 10y. I reckon a holding, only it does now show as a holding

Maurkice Pouncey: 1 False Start
Max Starks: 1 False Start

Its not exactly unfair to say that Colon has been terrible in that regard compared to the rest of line. Basically, he has thrice as many penalties as any other player on the o-line.

As for Wallace - Brown. If Brown caught more TDs he would have had a better season than Brown so far, but that is not really the case. AB has caught 1 and Wallace 3. That said, Wallace had a terrible game last night.

Wallace, 8 targets, 2 catches, 17 yards, 8.5 YPC.
Brown: 10 targets, 7 catches, 86 yards, 12.3 YPC.

Let's look at more than the raw stats, shall we?

So, there were 6 targets where he didn't come up with the ball. One was a drop, no excuses, right into his hands and he dropped it. One was a 4th down, desperation heave into the endzone in double coverage where he was practically raped by Asomugha with no call. One was a slant on the goal line in which Wallace was blatantly held by DRC, again no call. One was a crossing route where Wallace was again blatantly held by a LB, with no call (I can still see Ben with his hands in the air asking for a flag). One was on a potential big play where Wallace got behind DRC, and Ben overthrew what wouldve been an easy long TD. I don't know about the last one, but it's pretty obvious that Wallace wasn't really to blame for his subpar day. Raw stats look bad, but going in depth shows the real story.

I really don't think Wallace is having a bad season but I do believe he isn't giving 100%....on the long TD pass he stuck out one arm and the ball hit him in the elbow, great WR's dive for the ball at least it would have been a long gainer......His efforts seem to be half assed and always looking for the flag.......I also believe he isn't into the Haley offense, not so many bombs but more short slants and stick slants.......My guess is he is gone after this season by his own choice......

He had every right to look for flags yesterday. There were several PI and holding that weren't called against him. It was complete bullshit.

The difference between Wallace and Brown, his history: If people comments are JUST based of yesterday game, OK but unless Wallace is streeking down the field, Brown is a better all around player.

BUT based off what I seen yesterday, If I have to choose between resigning Mendenhall or Wallace next year, I'm choosing Mendenhall.

Either Redman or Drywer took advantage of Mendenhall being out, and if he stays healthy, I would rather have:
Mendenhall
Redmen
Dwyer
Batch or Raniey
with Brown, Sanders, J.C. and Millers at TE

then
Redmen
Dwyer
Batch
Rainey
with Wallace, Brown, Sanders, J.C. and Millers at TE

I agree but his efforts were minimal and you could see Press Coverage frustrates him to no end(look for that the rest of the season).......My point was his efforts were less than stellar........You can see he is unhappy with his role in this Offense....

There was equal amount of blame on the drops for Brown and Wallace. In actuality no one was worse then the other. They were both equally bad.

I expect both of them to get on track Thursday nite against the Titans.

And how about Ike Taylor, he is guilty of a callable PI on every isolation they show of him.

Really I could careless about the drops yesterday by both Wallace and Brown...I know both will be fine the rest of the season....All I'm saying is if you're going to bitch at one WR for dropping balls then bitch at the other one when he does as well...You say Wallace dropped easy passes.......Brown dropped a perfectly thrown ball by Ben in the endzone....Earlier in the game Brown dropped that one over the middle when Ben hit him in stride......Yea Brown had the better stats but both Wallace and Brown had poor games......Its ok both will make it up the rest of the season........

I made a comment to my buddy just today that I don't remember any long passes to Wallace. He's one of the fastest guys in the league and they aren't taking advantage of that.

I agree with your argument that if it's one or the other, I go with Mendenhall. Mainly because the dropoff from Mendenhall to the next guy is huge compared to the drop off from Wallace.

Wallace and Brown had average games the big difference is Brown is a football player and lets his play doing the talking. I believe Brown would have played for even less. Wallace if he didnt come in with this long holdout wanting Fitzgerald $$ then he would be easliy forgiven as Brown is. I don`t expect Wallace to be a Steeler for long so its harder and harder to like him as much as AB

My overall thoughts on Wallace and Brown? Wallace is a one-trick pony, you cant teach speed, but you also can't be fast forever (see Parker, Fast Willie), so he's not work Fitzgerald money, let alone the money Brown got IMO. I'd like ot see him re-signed, but I just don't think they can do it.

nate washington was a one trick pony, i know thats your boy from tiffin but still, wallace started off as one when he replaced washington but hes grown so much as a player, i do hope he stays around because watching him get 4-5 catches for 100 yards and watching brown get 8 catches for 90 yards is a beautiful thing, they just work so well together. Brown is a #2, but he thrives as one but that doestn automatically make him a good #1 just because the other #1 moves on....we see that an awful lot.

Mike had a bad game but has been good this year.

Wallace has 21 catches for 345 yards. That projects out to 67/1104. Those are nice numbers for yards, but a little low for catches. Would like to see that go up a bit.

If he's going to be a #1 receiver like he wants to then yeah I'd like to see those catch numbers go up too. Ultimately it's all about touchdowns and yards after the catch, but you gotta catch the ball first.
