The injury news on running backs continues for the Steelers this afternoon. Tests on Isaac Redman revealed a hip injury that will not require surgery but will prevent him from playing Sunday against the Colts, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Redman could return to practice as early as next week. This is actually good news because it keeps Redman on track to be the starting running back for the regular-season opener at Denver. Redman caused a minor scare at training camp this week when he talked about a scheduled MRI for a groin injury and then fell to the ground in pain at Wednesday's practice.

Colbert said on Friday that Redman will be back next week. I'm not concerned about it, plus Dwyer is back and looking better. I don't care if Redman plays against the Colts or not, I'd prefer he didn't anyways right now.

Well, sounds like our backfield will be fine for opening day. In the meantime Batch and Rainey get much needed carries.

I really wanna see Batch and Rainey with the first team offense.......Batch had scrubs blocking for him last week.

As long as it's not serious we're golden.

I wonder how effective Redman will be (when he gets healthy) during the season....haven't watched the preseason much

He only had a few carries in the Eagles game, the run blocking wasn't bad but the pass blocking, well...

I still think he's going to do fine. As long as that groin/hip injury doesn't become an issue in the season I expect him to carry the load well.

Your expecting a lot. Dwyer is going to get his chance in the very, very near future to shine.
