In 2005 gadget plays were huge in our success. We all remember the cedric wilson TD catch against the bengals, or ARE's bomb to Hines in the Super Bowl. IN 2006 we had some here and there but probably due to the fact of getting behind early and having no running game many times, especially on the road, the gadget plays were not near as prevalent.

I wonder how much Ariens and Tomlin will try to integrate them this year ? We've got players on the team like Cedric, Hines, and Heath who've played some QB before so it would behoove us to stick some back into the arsenal, IMO.

The Steelers also did sign former West Virginia QB Rasheed Marshall. If he can show anything as a WR during camp/pre-season then he would be the perfect player to run trick plays with. But he has to make the team first. Which will be a tall order for him.

As for the trick plays you would think Ariens might use them since he has been with the Steelers the last few years as a WR's coach. So I think we might see some trick plays this year.

Would be nice,,,,,,,,,, But getting Miller involved should be a priority for TOMLIN :yesnod: We don't need to go through another season wasting his talent :tt02:
A great gadget play that seems to work pretty good is the play when they pass back to Big Ben abd let him launch it down field :bigthumb:

I think every coach keeps some gadget plays in their playbook. Besides having the right players to execute them... I think it's just a matter of having the guts to call them when the defense is doing the things that make them volnerable to trick plays.
