I wouldn't look for him on the field Sunday night against Indy. Probably the third preseason game.

Good news nevertheless!

Good thing, unlike DeCastro Adams is a long way from being a starter

Good for Max, i still dont play him to the 3rd PS game at the VERY earliest. You know what your going to get from him if the knee holds up. And you can test that in practice. I still think Adams has a shot at winning that job if he gets healthy in time!

Yep..He won't play this weekend most likely but the 3rd preseason game he should get some action. Anybody else think he's coming off this week because Adams' injury is going to last long enough to keep him out for awhile?

The Steelers are thin at left tackle, but will get a big boost today when veteran Max Starks was removed from the physically unable to perform list.

Under new CBA rules, Starks will be limited and unable to practice for three days meaning he won’t be able to practice fully until Friday when the Steelers close out camp. Starks won’t play against the Colts this weekend.
Sunday will mark seven months since Starks had the ACL repaired in his right knee. Starks injured his knee during the wild-card loss to Denver. ACL surgery typically takes 7-9 months to fully heal. - TribLive S (http://blog.triblive.com/steel-mill/2012/08/14/starks-removed-from-pup-list/)teelmill

This is a good thing. I am happy the F.O. was wise enough to sign him.

Starks was working out on the sidelines today, and will participate in practice tomorrow with the players in a normal fashion.

Max was asked if the LT position was still a concern, he said as long as they get it sorted it by the last preseason game they'll be fine.

I hope Adams injury doesn't linger too long.
