Big Ben and wife Ashley expecting a baby boy

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his wife, Ashley, announced today that they are expecting the birth of their first child, a baby boy.


"Ashley and I are proud to let you all know that we are expecting a baby boy later this year!" Mr. Roethlisberger posted on his official website, bigben7.com (http://bigben7.com/). "It is truly a blessing and we are so excited!"


Thousands of fans have sent the couple notes of congratulation since they posted the announcement. Mr. Roethlisberger's agent could not be reached for comment.

If there's one thing that will keep you grounded and focused on the big picture of life, it's having kids. By the time Ben retires and then his kid grows up the Steelers will have gone through a few QB's and probably be ready for the next great one...lol

The rash of articles going up about how Ben changed his life around the last few years is staggering, although predictable. How many of those fans that called for him to be released and swore him off as a Steeler are now cheering for him again? LOL
