Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/pittsburghsteelers/profile?team=PIT) tight end Heath Miller (http://www.nfl.com/players/heathmiller/profile?id=MIL243606) is expected to play a key role (http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/sports/steelers/heath-millers-tale-gets-another-big-twist-638236/) as a receiver in new offensive coordinator Todd Haley's system, Ed Bouchette reports in Thursday's edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

"Haley is excited about what Heath Miller is capable of," head coach Mike Tomlin said. "He's been very clear about that, his excitement to work with Miller. I would imagine that the tight end is going to be a part of our plan."

"I definitely see opportunities for that to happen," said Miller. "That's not to say there weren't opportunities in the last offense. We (the tight ends) are going to be involved a lot."

I'll believe it when I see it quite honestly but at least there's hope that we might actually see Heath more involved in the red zone a long with the general offensive gameplan.

About time if true. Two touchdowns from Heath in each of the last two seasons is criminal.

I'd like to see Heath get atleast 8 Td's a year . Making him a real option in the redzone.

Heath Miller. Might be the worst waste of talent ever. We neverrrr use him. He was going off against the Patriots last year and then they stopped going to him. I don't get it

You should go back and watch the game again. The Pats made a defensive adjustment late in the 1st half, Ben missed the adjustment, missed Heath, and threw to a wide open MLB. Giving them a short field and letting them right back in the game.

If there was ever a time when we might finally see Heath used to his potential, it's this year. No more Arians, no more "this is how we do things" talk from the offense. It's a whole new playbook, new, fresh ideas. I'm actually somewhat optimistic that we may actually get our wish...but still not holding my breath. lol

That shouldn't mean you ignore him for the rest of the game though lol

Just because he's not catching the ball doesn't mean he's being ignored. Or maybe you would prefer that Ben forces the ball to him?

Yes I do expect a player they pay 100 mill to be able to put it where no one, but that receiver has a chance at it.

It used to be that Heath was used more in the redzone but not so much in between the 20's. Now the last few years he's been used more in the middle of the field but less in the redzone. It all comes back to balance and I would venture a guess that more often than not Ben would not have to force the ball to Heath, he's usually open no matter who is covering him.

Dude, Arians knew that the defenses were going to cover Miller in the redzone, so he changed it up to confuse them. who cares about scoring..

Brady to Welker, you know its coming every other 3rd down for sure but you have to stop the play... Arians thought his reverse phycology was the play, he had no faith in any player making a play. Bye Bye Arians..

I get it the term for it is " the Bruce Ariens game plan".

The term for it was "Ward, Holmes, Wallace, Brown" ...

Heath has done his part ... I'm happy with all that he's accomplished ...

4th all-time on the Steelers Receptions list
8th all-time on the Steelers TD Receptions list
Most accomplished TE in Steelers history

Heath has nothing else to prove ...

I frankly don't care who scores our TD's ... just win baby!
