PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Passion advanced to 5--0 with a victory over the Pittsburgh Force, 66--0. At the top of the game, Sam Simeone recovered a fumble on the opening drive. Tammy Spencer capped a key reception to lead the Passion toward the endzone. Lyndsi Hughes scored on a 6-yard run. Within the next 10 minutes of play, Amanda Haeg caught 2 touchdown receptions from Lisa Horton at 33 yards and 21 yards respectively. At the end of the 1st Quarter, Rookie Angela Baker sealed a 2-point conversion.

Into the 2nd Quarter, Baker caught her first career touchdown with a 23-yard pass from Horton. Melinda Henderson scored on a 5-yard run, and Lyndsi Hughes capped a 2-point conversion. Sharon Vasquez grabbed an interception, and Horton threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Haeg. Olivia Griswold brought an enormous sack to bring all fans to their feet. With 6 seconds left in the half, Horton lobbed a short pass to Haeg, and Haeg broke multiple tackles for a record-tying 84-yard sprint and touchdown.

On the opening drive of the 3rd Quarter, Sonya Osselborn had a 40-yard kickoff return. On the very next play, Haeg under center took a 55-yard QB sneak to the endzone. After the half, Ciara Chic scored on a 6-yard touchdown run. Amy Fallon kicked a 27-yard field goal. Into the 4th Quarter, Ebony Ivy and Jordan Zeunges combined for a sack. Kicker Amy Fallon went 5 of 7 in extra points and 1 field goal. Olivia Griswold had 6 tackles and 1 sack. Michelle Brevard had 6 tackles and a fumble recovery. Ebony Ivy had 5 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Jordan Zeunges had 4 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Lisa Horton threw for 10 of 14 for 265 yards. Lyndsi Hughes had 102 yards on 8 carries. Amanda Haeg had 4 receptions for 4 touchdowns for 166 yards. Final Score, Passion 66 Force 0.

Next up, the Passion will host the biggest Home Game of the season on Saturday June 2nd at Cupples Stadium on the South Side.
