Steelers sign CB Andre Freeman, release OT Trevis Turner

A minor roster move today by the Steelers according to Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune, via Twitter.


Steelers waive OT Trevis Turner and sign CB Andre Freeman, a Slippery Rock product. Turner spent last season on practice squad.

Nothing earth shattering here, roster still at 90 players.

Freeman is 5' 10" 185 lbs.

Oh great, another small cornerback. I don't think he even sniffs the roster eventually anyhow, but in the offseason you can't have too much depth so why not. Turner was a PS guy last year anyways and the signing of Jolly made him expendable.
