That's some big shoes to fill for Spence wearing 51. It will be weird not seeing Potsie out there.

That will take a little time to get use to. I guess my theory that they would bring Potsie back for a year has been shot down.

I hope I don't see #86 assigned anytime soon to anyone.

What Barron Batch's number last year?

It will be weird seeing a #51 actually be able to stay with a guy in coverage too.

Well yeah that too...LOL. After such a good 2010 when it looked like Farrior was reborn, father time seemed to catch up with him in the pass coverage department for sure.

It'll be weird seeing a #51 playing lights out! OUCH! lol

During the 2004 season, his third with the franchise, Farrior made 94 tackles, three sacks, and a career-high four interceptions. He also finished second behind Ed Reed for NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors. <== Lets just remember the good ol days and not slander another great Steeler....ok?

I thought that year (and still do) he deserved the DPOY award over Ed Reed.

Thanks for posting.

It's strange that Stallworth and Swan are in the hall of fame but they still use #88 and #82 but they haven't used 58,75,52,63,36

They should never use 58, 75 and 52! or 47 for that matter!!! They all changed there positions...

Sly and Spence wearing #55 and #51 respectively, kind of weird, but we'll see. I remember talking to Sly a year ago, and asking him about wearing that number, and how he got excited to see it until people turned around and he realized it had Porter's name on the back, lol.

Kinda wish Ta'amu and Woirlds would switch numbers. Sounds a bit corny but 95 if worn should be an OLB and 93 a NT. Just MHO.

I've always thought that too, 95 may not be legendary like 58, 12, 75, etc but those of us who love the linebackers, Greg Lloyd's number is just for linebackers.

The only number I'm sentimental about is 6. And I want it to be upgraded to 7... soon!

Exactly. Lloyd will always be one of my fav's from my early teen years and to see his number stay with a LB no matter who it is would be great to watch. We'll see. Woirlds did change numbers before the start of last season maybe he will again.
