View Full Version : If Max Starks is ready, do they bring him back for 1 more year?

In the last month or so Max Starks has tweeted that he'd recovering nicely and should be ready to go by the time the season starts. If that's true, and assuming nobody signs him before then, would the Steelers bring him back on another 1 yr. deal and let him play LT, keep Marcus Gilbert at RT, and let Adams grow into that job after learning behind Max?

It would keep Gilbert at the position he worked on so much last year, which would be a good thing I would say. The less messing around with the OL you can do the better.

This is all assuming Max is fully recovered and able to go. Otherwise I wouldn't want a rookie watching Ben's blind side so I'd rather have Gilbert on the left and allow Colon to battle it out with Adams on the right.

Without a doubt in my mind. He filled in so nicely last year. He comes back, we have an offensive line that can dominate most defenses in the league without question.

I hate to say it but, yep, I'd bring him back...especially since Colon has been so fragile the last two years...

Bringing Starks back is a no brainer. It allows them to get rid of J. Scott,Allows them to not rush Adams if he's not ready yet. It gives security incase Willie gets injured and provides a veteran presence as Pouncey takes on more of a leadership role.

Depends on the money. 2.2 million like J. Scott gets, yes, more than that, no.

Yep bring him back for that half of football he plays before he gets hurt again

Bring him back for one more year. Adams is not ready for prime time(needs to put on 15-20lbs of muscle) and Gilbert is not mobile enough for the left side imo. I think Gilbert would be a disaster on the left side.

He's an upgrade over Scott. Likely cheaper too. It's a no brainer.

For minimum pay, of course.
