Never at a loss for words, James Harrison gives us his take on the new throwback jersey's the Steelers will be wearing this offseason. Did we expect anything less?

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/4433/james-harrison) is considered an old-school player. But he apparently isn't a fan of old-school uniforms. After the Steelers unveiled their new throwback uniforms, Harrison made it clear he isn't going to be happy wearing them. He posted on his Twitter account (https://twitter.com/#!/jharrison9292/status/192383525343858689):

There's a reason these jerseys were from 1932..... it's 2012 now though, so send them back!!!lol fb.me/1FqMEi1dB (http://t.co/yfEX9StB)

Part of me thinks they made them ugly like that on purpose. . .

I don't HATE the actual jersey, but I don't like the pants and socks.

I always loved the ones from 1955 that they used in 1994. I have a replica one of Barry Foster. I don't mind the ones from 1934 but the rectangular white blocks that surround the numbers are horrible. They are supposed to be yellow.

I pity opposing offenses when Silverback lines up against them wearing that hideous getup...he's never in a good mood anyway!

Bingo! Snake Eyes! The right combo of the rest of the uniform "downplayed" with these jerseys and you've got some nastiness!

I can see the gameday morning tweets from Harrison now, "bout to put on this bubble bee uni's, man these things are ugly" LOL

Harrison's a guy with a good sense of humor. I'm sure he'll have some fun with the Tback unis. There's 7 million Americans in prison;this is a golden opportunity to grow the fan base and expand Steeler Nation to include the incarcerated. We'll be known as America's Prison Team!

I honestly don't mind them at all...

Well you can always look at it this way. The other teams defence will be to busy laughing at them play defence and their offence will be too busy laughing at them to catch a ball, or make the our defence mad enough to kick major butt.

Maybe Harrison will play mad when he wears this jersey? ... like he needs another motivation ...

Maybe Harrison should play with this attitude.

In two short seasons, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has become the central force of a New York Giants line that ranks among the game's best.

His 16.5 sacks in 2011 ranked fourth in the league behind Jared Allen, DeMarcus Ware and Jason Babin. JPP might have been as valuable to his team as any of them, but he isn't done.

"I knew I was going to come in and have a great year (in 2011), but not like that," Pierre-Paul told "Mike and Mike" on ESPN Radio on Tuesday. "Just like this year, I'm going to come in and do better than I did last year. ... I think I should do even more. 16.5 (sacks), I didn't even know I was going to do that, but I got it."

Among the best edge rushers in football, Pierre-Paul helped the Giants total 48 sacks, tied with the Baltimore Ravens for second-best in the NFL (the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles led with 50).

They are totally cool and retro... for sure better than the other ones they had, absolutely no character.

These should look great in HD and you wont get any fuzzy numbers on the screens at the sports bars.

Just because it's retro does not mean it looks good.

What I don't like about them is this ... over the past few years (like it or not) the Pittsburgh Steelers have been getting accusations left and right about the dirty nature of their players ... from Hines Ward to James Harrison to Ben Roethlisberger's off-field tribulations ... the last thing the Steelers front office needed to choose as a throw-back jersey was a jersey that makes the entire team look like prison cell mates ...

They could have chosen the gray facemasked, block numbered, 1970's style Steelers uniforms that brought this franchise out of the NFL's laughing stock ... and how cool would it have been for Keisel to wear a replica of Mean Joe Greene's gray cage facemask? ...
