Peyton Manning will reportedly sign with the Denver Broncos, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

Manning to Broncos…more coming on Espn

— Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) March 19, 2012

Manning had reportedly been deciding between the Tennessee Titans and the Broncos. He was released earlier this month by the Indianapolis Colts after missing the entirety of 2011.

Last season the Broncos finished with an 8-8 record with upstart quarterback Tim Tebow under center. The second-year star helped lead the Broncos to a 7-4 record after taking over the starting position midway through the season. He also helped Denver upset the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the AFC Playoffs. Despite his initial success in the win column, however, some have questioned Tebow’s ability to be a championship caliber NFL quarterback.

Over the course of his career, Manning has compiled 54,828 passing yards and 399 touchdowns. He was the number one overall pick by the Colts in 1998, and has been a four-time NFL MVP. In 2006, he led the Colts to a Super Bowl Championship, where he was named Most Valuable Player.

Can't imagine there are many teams willing to take on a project qb that costs a few million a year.

Really? The Steelers did that with Dixon. I can see them doing it with Tebow because 1.Leftwhich cant stay healthy. 2. Batch is old. 3. Its time to move on from both Batch & Leftwhich. 4. Tebow can be a backup QB or tell him he's a H back and he'd be better than Johnson and cost less.

Contact Denver to sign & trade Wallace with the premise that The Steelers wont match the offer if they agree to throw in Tebow. Thereby allowing Denver to not have to go crazy to signing him. Win Win for Steelers a #1 and a Hback/backup QB/emergency QB.

Why would he land anywhere? He's not a free agent and he would be learning for the next 3 or so years behind Manning!

The Steelers play the Broncos this year, in Mile High. Should be interesting; at least they won't have to worry about him running like Tebow does...

I would love for the Steelers to put the ka-POW hit on Manning. If he's hurt..oh well. That's football. Should of retired.

Manning (body of glass), who gives a ****, IMO. we owe you denver and we are coming to collect. You know I didn't really have that much hate for the donks until this year. Now they are on the rise, see ravings, and until we kick their *** real bad they will be right behind them, turds and stinksanatti.

Thank god he didn't go the the 49ers is all I have to say. They're a Peyton Manning away from being the best team in the league.

On another note, why do we always have to play in Denver? It's such an awful place to play.

You can count Clark being out for that game. I agree, I hate going to Denver. They need to come to Heinz more often. Being a man down against a QB like Manning is never easy.

QBs that have been with one system their entire career and then move to a new team for a coupe years historically do not do as well... manning could be different. Broncos have the cap space to fill a team around them. And their in the AFC west...
