The Steelers have raised ticket prices for the 2012 season.

In a letter mailed to season-ticket holders, the team said the price increase was in order to "meet the challenges of remaining competitive in the National Football League."

The Steelers did not make prices available, but it is known that tickets which cost $92 in 2011 will cost $100 next season.

The Steelers did not raise prices for the 2011 season, which was threatened by the NFL lockout.

It is the fifth ticket increase in the past eight years. The Steelers did not raise ticket prices following their Super Bowl appearances in the 2005, 2008 and 2010 seasons.

I can remember prices being about 50-60 bucks and complaining then about how expensive it was to go to a game. I believe it cost my wife and I, to see the Patriots game last season, about $350.00. That was one night in a hotel, the game tickets, gas up and back and food.

It's an expensive weekend and it's not getting any better.

I've been on the waiting list for season tickets for literally so long now I can't even remember how long. I was on it before and then something happened with my application and it never got processed so I was pushed to the back of the line. That was early 2K last I remember.
