I don't know about you guys but the more I hear our players talk (Clark Harrison and Wallace in particular) the more they come across as a bunch of jealous, childish, punks. I mean they weren't even on the 01 or 04 teams that lost to NE so just shut up. Maybe they shoulda been a little more concerned with beating the Broncos then running their mouths. I really dislike some of our players and every time another one talks it seems I dislike another. Is our team is full or cry babies? Anyone else agree or am I imagining all this?

I don't like all the talk: but the facts are the fact: The Pats win three super bowls in four years, by 3 points each. Bill and Brady are placed in some type of elite statis, and come to find out that they were cheating all along. Since that were busted, the are 6-6 in playoff games, 0-2 in Super Bowls. After and 10-0 playoff recond while they were cheating.

And yes.... considering people reputations, jobs paycheck, and HOF considerations are largely based on championship, understand people glee when the Pats go down.

How would people feel about Bill Cowher, BUS, Hines Ward, Porter, Hampton, Farrior, Taylor, Big Ben and many others if they had twp more Super Bowls wins under their belts.

On the same note, what type of authoirty would the words of RH or TB (two talking heads from those Pats super bowls have in they NEVER won a Super Bowl(s)

I think it's kinda funny in a way, especially Harrison & Clark because they are known to be rebels in the eyes of the NFL. Hoke surprised me a bit though, he's not one to usually stir the pot on twitter.

On the other hand it was a bit of a slap in the face.

Oh, I think its funny. The reporters and sports guys are all devote followers of King Belichick. We never hear anything about the cheating or that they havent won a SB since stopping cheating. All we hear is about how he is the best ever and Tom Brady is a god. I am so glad the players are calling this stuff out. The league barely punished BB and just kind of swept this under the rug. Someone needs to be reminding the world that the Patriots should have an asterisk by their Super Bowls, saying CHEATERS

LatrobePA

They cheated the Ravens just two games ago... The league after the passing of the owners wife had this team in the SB... A lot like in 2001!

I'm glad to see them lose again to doofus Eli and the Giants, though I expected Brady to carve them up!

We should be angry because our players are telling the truth about Bradybitch and Bilicheat? Nope, no way.

The Pats can all go suck one.....except Gronk. Gronk is cool....but the rest of those cheating bastards can cry me a freakin' river.

I agree with you and I am especially sick of Ryan Clark always running his mouth on twitter or wherever all the time. All of these tweets such as Pouncey after the Denver game and people saying stuff such as this all is a reflection back on Mike Tomlin on this team I think. Ever since he took over the discipline on the team has not been the same since Cowher was on there and the team has basically becomed thugged out for a better choice of words...

Gronk was a non-factor in this game because of the ankle injury. Maybe he should have thought twice about taking a picture with a porn star like he did awhile back because karma came back to bite him with his injury...

its a league/world wide thing to say...this isnt a big deal.

as much as i hate the giants it sure is nice to see brady go from 3-0 to 3-2 in superbowls

That is good karma my friend! The guy is single, good looking, in great shape, and elite. I don't think Mother Theresa is his type. I would not have had the jersey in the picture, but so what!

Ocho Stinko should of been plugged into the line up... Gronk should of been inactive he hurt the team more than helped!

Stinko was in there - only had one catch I think. Gronk still distracted the Giants, but I think he only had the one catch also. Gronk Steeler - worthy player.
These Steelers are free to speak their minds, but you don't think GoDdell andthe other NFL royalty takes notice and takes into account when dealing out fines etc?
They are definitely saying what WE'RE already thinking for sure. :yellowthumb:

For me, It doesn't matter if what the players are twitting is valid or not. They need to shut their mouths and show some class. They look like bitter, sore losers by doing that. Just further proof that their are players on this team who are not mature and need to
grow up.

Well it wasnt good enough...Nothing wrong with Gronkowski being with a porn star or dating one or banging one for that matter that's his right and as you said he is young and good looking, but it wasnt the smartest idea for him to put it out there for everyone to see.

It's a bad reflection on Mike Tomlin as I mentioned earlier. The team has become totally undisciplined and as I said before "thugged" out for a better word since he has taken over as coach back in 2007. If you look at what Bill Cowher did in 2005 when the Steelers were 7-5 in December and had to win 8 in a row to win the Super Bowl which they did,and what Tom Coughlin did this season when the Giants were 7-7 in December and left for dead and came back and ended up winning the Super Bowl, there is no way that Mike Tomlin could have lead either of those teams to the Super Bowl and won it. Cowher and Coughlin are true leaders of men and character and that went along way as the reason why the 05 Steelers and the 2011 Giants both ended up winning the Super Bowl despite being left for dead in mid-December...

Clark needs to stfu, between him bitching and moaning and calling a grown man a retard hes really getting annoying. I still say we should trade wallace for a 1st rounder if we could. You can see how far Brady and Manning can get with decent recievers. Nicks,Cruz and Welker and Gronk. I would draft OL in 1st and 2nd round this year. Ben just needs a line.

Between Troy's injuries and Clark talking so much, I'd like to add another good safety. We need the depth and in case we need to move someone, we wouldn't have much of a drop off.

We have a lot more pressing needs, but it's just a thought of something to do if the right player and situation presents itself.

I know we like our safeties to support the run, right now. I would take a coverage safety over clark anyday. We need to get more Int's than what we have been getting. I know its not all up to the safeties to get Int's. Itd be nice to see more from them though. Clarks coverage skills or horrid.

are you guys serious telling the players to shut up? These guys believe they were cheated out of a chance to go to the superbowl TWICE by this team obviously they are going to be happy and root against them whenever they can. I love that they are getting it out there and only speaking the truth. The NFL swept this under the run since when do we want our players to go with the NFL flow? If they were doing that then we would be watching flag football every weekend. Anyone saying they need to keep their mouthes shut have no idea what they are talking about.

The point is Ryan Clark wasnt a member of the Steelers in 2001 or 2004 when the Steelers lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship game is why it's annoying. The Patriots doing what they did had no affect on Clark because he wasnt playing for the Steelers when this all went down. Clark is annoying and I know over the last year or so he has lost a lot of the Steelers fans respect with some of his ridiculous arrogant comments.

I hate the patriots cuz they are arrogant and beat us in 01 and 04 ACF championchip games.,among many other games.....do people think we would have won one or both of those games if not for spygate, as I am not sure the impact it had to be honest,,,but I am happy they havent and likely will never win another SB since Spygate

I see what you are saying but also you have to realize that these guys are so proud to be Steelers. Even if they were not on that team dont you think that one day they would want to say to their kids or something "i played on the Steelers thats the team that Won 8 superbowls and your dad helped them win two of those." I dont know it just seems like they have more of a right to say something then everyone else except the guys who were on that team.

This is the truest statement about the whole subject. Twitter wasn't big or even around when maost of it all happened!! This is all about the new fangled devices and having access to what the players are thinking at any given moment or just them putting stuff out there to get a reaction !!

and let's not forget, several of our current and former players have publicly stated they felt spygate played a part in 01 and 04, peezy, hines and the bus being 3 of them. it just annoys me when people act like it's tomlin's fault guys tweet. every single team has guys tweeting stupid ****. there's only so much you can do to control it

Remember it is Twitter, and one needs to actively seek out the message or follow the Tweets. It is not like they are renting billboards and running commercials, or calling SI. Even so, they do sound pretty stupid sometimes.

This reinforces my theory that internet is making a percentage of the population stupid. And don't worry - myself included sometimes.

Probably one reason why the Pro Bowl effort was so lazy. I know that players do not go 100% in that game, but a better effort could have been displayed if they weren't so interested in being able to use Twitter on the sidelines during the game.

I have nothing against anyone that uses Twitter, but for the record, I think it is stupid as hell and I would never use it or follow anyone that tweets. I even hate the word tweet. JMO

Could you imagine if Greg Lloyd had twitter or even Jack Lambert? The controversy would be 10x what it is now when Harrison or Clark say something.
