Randy Fichtner
Not enough credentials and was appointed by Tomlin (Two strikes)

Tom Clements
Supposedly can't leave to be an OC (Would otherwise be my first choice)

Jim Caldwell
He was a puppet for Manning and a milk toast head coach

Hue Jackson
Probably a head case based on what he tried to orchestrate in Oakland.

Todd Haley
He can't get along with anybody! He won't fit in the Mike Tomlin subdued sideline. (My absolute last choice)

Brad Childress
Handles adversity well (Brett Favre) but subscribes to west coast philosophy

Todd Haley Was 'Great Fit' To Return To Cardinals Despite No Position For Him

Jan 24 8:02a by Matt Conner

Read More: Kevin Kolb (QB - ARI), Kurt Warner (QB - ARI), Arizona Cardinals

Kurt Warner believes that Todd Haley was the right man to come back to the Arizona Cardinals, if only they didn't already have those men in place. Haley's keen offensive mind and familiarity with the team would have been a boost to Kevin Kolb and the rest of the Cardinals' offense for Ken Whisenhunt's team, but the former Kansas City Chiefs head coach simply had no place to go given the current state of the offensive staff, especially the ascension of Mike Miller to OC.

"Haley and Miller are believed to have a mutual respect for each other and it's understandable that neither would want to be thrust into a position where their every move or decision is watched or questioned," writes Daria Del Colliano. "Still, there is no doubt that Haley would have brought a plethora of ideas and schemes to the table in any capacity on the Cardinals' staff, but the level of responsibility he would expect to hold just isn't available"

Warner said in a radio interview, ""It would be difficult to be in that hierarchy where you really feel like you know what you should do in this situation or what you should call or what plays you should design and to know that there are still two people above you that can kind of veto you -- is a difficult thing to do."

Haley is now still searching for that next step in the NFL.

Todd Haley Mentioned As Possibility For Pittsburgh Steelers Offensive Coordinator Position

Jan 20 10:20a by Matt Conner

The Pittsburgh Steelers are unsure at this point whether or not Bruce Arians will return to his role in 2012 as the team’s offensive coordinator. With that in mind, it’s curious who might replace him in the Steel City with such a storied team. Perhaps that answer could come from the Kansas City Chiefs, as former head coach Todd Haley was mentioned by Bob Smizik as a possibility.

“There are, of course, dozens of other available and qualified candidates. One of note, is Todd Haley, an Upper St. Clair native, who most recently was the coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to that, he was the offensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals, whose explosive offense with Kurt Warner at quarterback almost beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl.”

Haley was ousted with three games left in the season and replaced by Romeo Crennel. He’s also been connected with openings with the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Jets.

In order

1.Haley
2. Clements

4. Childress

5. Caldwell

5. Kugler
6. Fitcher

Haley by far #1 for me, i think the offense is lethal with him. Clements is my #1 up and comer.

Childress is such a scripted wco coach, but did ok with favre and peterson and balance there

caldwell, fitcher, and kugler are an extreme commitment to mediocrity at the position tho

I want Haley.

Haley isn't afraid to get after you if you did something wrong. Like he did Anquan Boldin when he was at Arizona.

No problem with a coach getting in someone's grill if he feels it necessary.

 Just kidding folks...

I like Haley (as far as the big names out there).

Just whomever it is....please.....please.....don't go into a shotgun formation with an empty backfield when it's 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2.

I want a new drug
One that won't hurt my head
One that won't make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red.

I'll live with whatever decision the FO makes. They've done fairley well to date.

Haley would be fine but i don't think he would get along with Tomlin.
The problem is i afraid that whoever it is will be more or less a Tomlin yes man

I am stunned at how many people want Haley!

He simply can't play nice with others. I don't want his drama here.

I don't care about his drama. I care about wins and his offenses have put up big numbers.

I guarantee the WR's are going to love him! And so will the running game because it will keep the safety out of the box.

Absolutely by NO MEANS bring in CHILDRESS!!!...unless you wanna run the draw every other play i guess. I live in Vikings country and his name is nothing but a joke in these parts.

I say bring in Haley...and let this offense roll! Steelers can tame a person so let's git r done.

The Steelers have been known to buck the trend now and then. Tomlin wasn't the obvious choice to take over as OC. The more this drags out the more I get the feeling it's going to be Fichtner. Mainly because the staff is down there at the Senior Bowl right now looking at the talent and we haven't heard squat about any potential candidates other than the handful we've been talking about. If they were looking at someone like Clements and trying to bring him in from Green Bay you'd think somebody would get wind of it. There are other factors too that just make me think it's going to be Randy.

Normally when a position of this magnitude is open you get rumors of interviews that are forthcoming at least. The team has said next to nothing since Arians left.
