Not really newsworthy as he is just a special teams player but with the injuries to Cortez Allen and others it makes you wonder how serious those injuries are.
It looks like Anthony Madison is back (http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/sports/steelers/s_774668.html#ixzz1iL0lKhv8) for another stint with the Steelers. The special-teams ace wrote on his Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Anthony-Madison/103131736394454) today, "Back with the Steelers."
This marks Madison's fourth of duty with the Steelers, and he fills a need on special teams with Curtis Brown out for the season with a knee injury and fellow rookie Cortez Allen nursing a shoulder injury.
Madison played five games for the Detroit Lions this season before getting released in November.
Madison, who played for the Steelers four different times from 2006-11, led the team in special-teams tackles last season with 22, including 17 solo.
The Steelers have not officially announced Madison's signing. They could place running back Rashard Mendenhall on injured reserve to make room for Madison on the 53-man roster. Mendenhall likely tore the ACL in his right knee in the Steelers' 13-9 win at Cleveland, and he already been ruled out for the Steelers' wild-card playoff game in Denver this Saturday.
The Steelers could also place Allen on injured reserve, depending on the severity of his shoulder injury.
