Just saw the tweet come down @ScottBrown_Trib

Steelers sign John Clay from practice squad, place Curtis Brown on IR.

With Mewdelde out with the sprained MCL this week and possibly longer, it's better to try and get Clay involved since he's been with the team, has some knowledge of the offense and working with the players. I wouldn't expect to see him much in the game unless injuries happen or they feel he's ready to take on a role on 3rd down. He's a big bruising type of back so it will be interesting to see what role he fills.

It's a shame about Curtis Brown, he started to show some real promise as the year has gone on. Cortez Allen is also really proving he's going to be a good player both on special teams and in extra DB coverages.

I would love to see Clay bust through the line. No more dancing with the football stars.:2cents:

This is just a bad, bad, bad, year for injuries for this team. Everytime they turn around someone else is hurt. Last year the line just took a lot of hits but this year it's everywhere.

The age of the team coupled with the lack of OTA'S and regular off season programs did damage Curtis isn't seriously injured is he this is a roster thing right?

BA is fine with his schemes....His play-calling is what always leaves me confused......He is average to terrible calling plays......

He figures 50/50 is good enough..

He figures 50/50 is good enough..

My biggest problem with BA is when the Steelers are running the ball fine then he goes away from it....When the passing game is in grove then he sneaks a run on first down which he usually get stuffed leading 2nd and long then setting up 3rd and long.....Of course the red zone play-calling has been a nightmare all year......But one point Ben does have freedom to audible......So really Ben could play a part in this.....I think its time for BA to go since I do think a better OC could take Ben and this offense to a whole new level......

Everything changes in the playoffs; the competition is stiffer and everyone is playing in a do or die situation. One bad play call in the wrong situation can be the difference between winning and losing. You simply cannot have any of those delayed draws inside your own 5 yd line. Or one of those reverse plays when the offensive line isn't blocking well.

Those are things that worry me in the post season. Now the overall gameplan so much as the wrong call at the worst time.

How many more injuries must we indure?
