According to the PG, Ben will go tonight.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is expected to start tonight against the San Francisco 49ers -- and the decision had nothing to with the Baltimore Ravens' loss Sunday night in San Diego that put the Steelers back in control of the AFC North Division.

The Steelers reached the decision to start Roethlisberger before the Ravens' 34-14 loss to the Chargers, which means the Steelers win the division title and get a first-round playoff bye if they win their remaining three games.

Roethlisberger has a Grade I ankle sprain and didn't practice until Saturday, and even then on a limited basis. But he moved around well enough to convince the coaches and medical staff he is able to play.

The Steelers clinched a playoff spot Sunday because of any loss by one of four teams -- the Titans, Jets, Raiders and Broncos. All four lost Sunday.

49ers are a run stopping team, we need to play them like brady would. short pass them to death.

PHI Michael Vick: 416 Yds and Romo were the best qb's they played
Dal Romo 307 yards
Ari John Skelton had 280 yards

Ben will be the best QB they play this year so far.

Is a grade 1 sprain the worst or the lightest sprain?

they were a good run stopping team with Pat Willis but he's hurt so we should test the run

Grade I is the less severe, grade III is the worst.

I'm not convinced the Steelers can beat the 49ers without Ben. No question he plays tonight and if you can get the win, you can rest Ben if need be the last 2 games against the Rams and Browns. You can beat those teams with Batch or Dixon but you need Ben tonight.

Dink and Dunk, get rid of the ball, keep their defense on the field and get out of San Fran with a win.

Still have to run the ball to keep the '9ers honest.

Ben came out around 6pm to throw a few passes, seemed to walk better on his way back to the locker room than he did when he came out according to Scott Brown and Dejan at the game.

Ben being out there on 1.5 legs had better inspire this football team to go out there and punch the '9ers where they live and absolutely destroy them. Thinking this game will be similar to the game the Steelers played vs the Titans this year. If the Steelers come out and get a lead and force the 49ers to start passing more often, then I love the Steelers chances. But they have to take care of the football and not allow Ginn to be a factor.

Steelers win 17-9.

If there is any people who want to question bens toughness this should put it to rest for once and all, I know none of us here question BEN!

Now I seen him walk off that bus and he looked like compleat ****, then i seen footage on ESPN where he went to do a drop back and stoped and lifted that leg up and limped a little bit..

Steelers should have nothing but fire under thier *** with James back here in Pitt and Ben playing.

Perdiction: the good guys: 24 , the bad guys: 9

There will be plenty of people that will still question how tough Ben is, no matter what. They will call him a drama queen, he's faking it or he's not hurt that bad. Just another part of Bens legacy in the eyes of other fans.
