Twice in his coaching past Randy Fichtner has spent time at Memphis as an assistant. According to one report, the current NFL assistant would like to make it a third go with the Tigers, only this time as the boss of the football program.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that Fichtner is interested in the opening, although itís uncertain from the piece whether said interest is or will be reciprocated by the school.

Better yet, send ol' Brucey with a sticker on his shirt that says "Hi! My name is Randy."

Nothing will happen until the Steelers season is over, whenever that is. I've been thinking about any Steelers coaches that might be candidates for head coaching jobs in college or the NFL recently.

We know Lebeau won't go anywhere else and Keith Butler is in line for Lebeau's job whenever Coach Dad retires. Nobody is going to want Bruce Arians; atleast they haven't so far.

Changing coaches is something that can really affect a Quarterback; mainly because the QB coach is usually not just a coach but also a confidant and friend; someone that's always in the corner of the player. Some guys really rely on that but in the Steelers case, Ben and BA are joined at the hip so if this change does happen it's not necessarily going to affect Ben all that much...most likely.
