I know everyone has different views of this came but it all leads to just a couple of things. We were killing ourselves with penalties and giving us 1st and 20s and second and third and longs. This led to us being 3 of 11 for third down conversions which is not a way to win this game. Sure the o-line was sloppy but Ben did only get sacked one time and did have time to throw quite a bit. When mendy ran hard he looked great. We just need to stay consistent and stop screwing ourselves on third down.

Or how about us just sucking in the red zone

Up to this game we were on a roll converting third downs..

Giving up 3rd and long conversions. Or allowing the fracking Chiefs to convert a 4th and 7.

3 for 11 on 3rd downs just will not cut it no matter who you are. The Steelers are fortunate to get out of KC with a win after that offensive performance last night. Heading into week 11 they were ranked tops in the league at over 50% 3rd down conversion ratio but credit the Chiefs last night. Their defense just did not let up in any phase and the Steelers receivers were not exactly lighting up the stat sheets either.

Defensively, they allowed the Chiefs to convert 6-15 on third down and 2-2 on 4th down (including a 4th and 7.) This, IMO, is all due to the lack of pressure on the opposing QB.
