He is inactive tonight again for the Chiefs game. He had a stinger a few weeks ago and has been out of the lineup but he's recovered enough to play but has been inactive. With Hampton back and also Steve McLendon playing pretty well this year in reserve duty you have to wonder if Hoke is going to make the active roster again this season unless an injury happens on the DL.

It looks like Lebeau and his staff want to get a good look at McLendon for next season. They know what they have in Hoke, he's a solid, reliable, no frills, type of player. He signed a 1 yr. deal to return this year and with Hampton maybe not coming back in 2012, NT will be a priority next offseason in some way. If McLendon continues to improve he'll keep getting the gameday roster spot and possibly more playing time next year.

I think he will! When you play teams like NE you need to keep the linemen fresh. And who knows maybe Hampton retires and Hoke is McClendons back up!

McLendon had 2 Tackles and Hampton was credited with 1. With the way the Steelers defense was on the field tonight you might think that Hoke could have made a difference being experienced.

The way Hampton has played this year rather see him sit then Hoke.
