All of us typically have our favorite Steelers' player of all time which in many cases is a member of the Hall of Fame.

From the NON-HoF list who are your favorites?

I agree that is a huge list to consider but some of my favorites are:

Greg Lloyd: obviously a top choice for me. Love the dude, always will be a top favorite of mine. He took the nasty, mean, kick your ***, trash talking, punch you in the mouth, linebacker mentality from the 70's to the current modern era.

Barry Foster: Steel Wheels, the dude had 12 100 yd rushing game, just a beast running through and over people.

Joey Porter: Picked up where Greg Lloyd left off.

Jason Gildon: Studied under Greene and Lloyd. Not a huge favorite among some of the Steeler nation but I always liked him. Not real flashy but got the job done.

Troy, Ben, Ward, Lloyd and kirkland.

Levon Kirkland, that's a good one. Biggest linebacker I've ever seen and fast enough to keep up with tight ends and running backs catching passes. I can still seeing running down the seam making a leaping interception from Jim Kelly during a Steelers/Bills game back in the day.

No way, that's cool! I don't know why but I can still see that play by Kirkland plain as day. Just one of those things that always sticks in your head. I still have a Kirkland jersey too, I break it out now and then.

You all have brought up some great names! Another guy I liked was Eric Pegram. Not necessarily an 'all-time' favorite but he was a good change of pace back. Also like Mike Wagner and how could you not love LC?

Lloyd, Greene, Kirkland, and Gildon from recent history. From the 70's I loved to watch Donnie Shell hit. He should be in for sure.

Preston Pearson...mostly because he spoke at my football banquet when I was in grade school. After the Steelers he went to the Cowboys and instantly became a Jagoff! He played in many Super Bowls and was caoched by Shula, Noll, and Landry a pretty good set of teachers.

I was always a Darren Perry fan...I think he was the most under-rated player on those 90s teams since Rod Woodson and Carnell Lake were also in those secondaries......

Of course Greg Lloyd.......Dirt Dawson and John Jackson are two other favorites of mine.....

Jamie Dukes makes a great point, that linebacking corp of Lloyd, Greene, Brown, and Kirkland was one of the best in Steelers history.

I just really enjoy seeing Greg Lloyd play linebacker, one of the meanest, nastiest, don't give a **** attitude Steeler players of all time. He'd be just as happy ripping your head off and getting a personal foul as he would getting a sack.
