Former Steelers Defensive Lineman & Current color analyst for KDKA, Edmund Nelson was kind enough to give us some time and talk Steelers football on our Blitzburgh Radio Steelers Podcast.

We had a great time talking with Edmund tonight, being a former player and current media analyst, he's got great insight on the Steelers and is really just a treat to listen to. He's one of those people that you could just sit back and talk Steelers football with all day long and wonder where the time went.

Edmund gave us his thoughts on topics such as Aaron Smith, Max Starks, the Steelers offensive and defensive lines, the upcoming game against the Patriots and so much more. We had a blast talking with him and we look forward to having him on the show again in the future.

It was a great, great pleasure to talk with Edmund. He was incredibly insightful and calls the Steelers like he sees them. Doesn't hold anything back and does it in a respectful manner. Definitely look forward to chatting with him again.

He has a great sense of humor too. I loved the I'm surprised Troy didn't call home comment.

When I asked him how much confidence he has in the Steelers defense to stop Tom Brady, and he's like " I don't have any " I couldn't stop laughing...I hate to mute for a minute..LOL

That mute button has saved me on several occasions, LOL. He's really a quick witted person, some of the stuff he commented on with Kemoeatu and the Defense was just flat out funny and right on que.

We'll definitely have him on again before the season is over.

When he was talking about Dwight, before he looked up his name, I was thinking to myself, is he talking about Stone? LOL Then when he said it Marc and I were dying, another time I had to mute it for a few seconds because I was taking a drink of my water just as he said "Dwight Stone"..LOL.
