View Full Version : Marcus Gilbert and Chris Kemoeatu out for Sunday

From Arians during his regular media session on Thursdays.

Why did the OLine play so well last week:
“The biggest thing, they could hear. Three out of the first four games were on really loud road games, and it’s really tough. But it was a better game, it wasn’t our best game I don’t think, that we’re capable of. I think the numbers were good but they can be better. But I think the continuity, Max [Starks] is starting to add a lot to the room, and Jonathan jumped right in as soon as Marcus [Gilbert] went down. We dress seven guys, and you can book on all seven playing every week, someone’s going down. It’s a quality group, I think they get beat up a little bit. Baltimore, Houston, Indianapolis are not easy place to play as an offensive line. They’re always the punching bag, it’s a good thing, they like it.”

On Marcus Gilbert’s status:
“We’re hoping that he can at least dress as a backup, but Jonathan [Scott] will start at RT.”

It was later heard that Arians mentioned that both Kemoeatu and Gilbert are ruled out.

Guys are filling in adequately in their place so there is no rush to come back. Better to take another week off, go through therapy and hope to have them for Arizona and beyond.

"Should" is a dirty word in football, but the Steelers SHOULD destroy the Jags on Sunday.

This was to be expected. We already figured Kemoeatu was going to be out. Legursky will do fine in his place. Gilbert was a bit of a long shot too, I'm sure that shoulder of his wasn't completely healed from when he hurt it a couple weeks ago. J. Scott did a pretty good job at RT against the Titans.

For once, knock on wood, I'm not too worried about the OL...unless injuries start then we'll be in trouble.

Best to get them healthy once and for all so they can come back strong.

Titams pass rush was weak so we`ll see week to week

As long as Scott stays at RT we will be fine
