Big Ben named offensive player of the week for week 5 :cope:

Ben Roethlisbergerhttp://www.steelers.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/ben-roethlisberger/54dda34e-9e43-4c57-9397-1143ddced5d6/) was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Tennessee Titans.

(http://www.steelers.com/team/roster/ben-roethlisberger/54dda34e-9e43-4c57-9397-1143ddced5d6/)Roethlisberger threw five touchdown passes and tallied 228 passing yards in the Steelers 38-17 win, while playing with an injured foot.

I just dont want to let my guys down. I want to give them my best, said Roethlisberger after the game of playing injured. Ill be there until they take me off in a cart, which has happened before. I want to give them everything that Ive got and put this team and this offense in the best position that I can to win football games. It is what it is, as coach always says. Regardless of injury, there are lots of guys going through it, we just have to go out and do our best.

This was the second time Roethlisberger threw for five touchdowns in a game during his career, the first being against Baltimore on Nov. 5, 2007.

Ben did a great job, said tackle Max Starkshttp://www.steelers.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif. Our biggest goal was to keep him upright. And we knew hed perform if we did that. He did throwing for five touchdowns speaks for itself.

Roethlisberger is the first Steelers player to win a player of the week honor this season.

No No No, James Harrison was fined because he got hurt and couldn't play in the game to get fined for a hit he might do that could **** off the league. :bonk:

Congrats to Ben; after a rough season so far it's nice to see him get some accolades!

Someone needs to step on his foot again this week in practice. Apparently, that is what he needs to perform well.
