View Full Version : The Ravens fans starting to feel the pressure after the win yesterday by the Steelers

The Ravens fans if you read their message boards were quite annoyed with the Steelers being able to come out yesterday and completely dominate the Titans the same team that dominated and embarrassed the Ravens a week after the Ravens beat the Steelers in the opener. They had stupid excuses such as saying the Steelers didnt have to deal with Kenny Britt while they had too and blah blah while completely forgetting to mention that the Steelers played with no Harrison,Hampton,Smith,Kemo,Mendy and others. It's quite pathetic reading some of the things they write and just seeing how the Steelers are still in their heads big time despite the fact that they dominated them in the opener.

The Ravens and their fans are beginning to feel the heat once again of the Steelers and they know that most likely when they meet them here in the rematch on November 6th there is only going to be a 1 game seperation between the two teams, and if they dont come in here and win that game that what happened in the opener where they dominated the Steelers wont mean **** because the Steelers will once again take over first place in the division with a pretty winnable schedule the rest of the way the last 7 games...The Ravens fans can deny it all they want but despite what happened in the opener and how the Ravens completely dominated and owned the Steelers they know deep down that they are still going to have to beat them possibly 2 more times again in games that will really matter and dont take place early on in the season if they are finally going to get to the Super Bowl. And while the Ravens are a very good team and still very dangerous I am still not completely sold that they can win this division and come in here and beat the Steelers in November and sweep the season series. The Steelers will definitely have a big response for that game that took place in the opener when they come back in here for that rematch on November 6th...

Well they're all mad because they were all picking the Titans to win

http://boards.baltimoreravens.com/topic/41538-titans-pitt-who-ya-got/

Sounds like the only reason we won is because Kenny Britt was out. Duhh, don't you know Kenny Britt could have caused a complete offensive turn around for the Titans? Maybe he also plays corner and would've prevented the 5 touchdown passes.

None of that will matter if we can't beat them head-to-head.

The fans maybe be nervous and feeling the heat but I'd guess the Ravens are still pretty confident.

If I'm them I'm nervous about my QB and that's about it. Ravens' D is playing very well right now and if Rice continues playing like he is they will be tough to beat. One thing I've learned about the NFL in this era is that one team beating another who had beat another (and so on) doesn't mean squat.

The Ravens fans might be a little worried or pissed off. The Titans beat their beloved purple boys and then we host them and knock them into next week. I'm sure that boils their purple blood something awful :bwah:

The Ratbird players are always extremely over confident, so I kinda doubt they are too worried just yet.

Even after watching a couple Ravens games, and seeing them look invincible..........I'm not buying it yet!

I think they are overachieving and will have there tumble soon. Despite the fact that their schedule is laughably easy with the exception of a couple games, I expect to see them come back to earth.

Well to me the Harrison.Kemo,Smith,Hampton are the primary reason for us losing anyway . They all got old ESPECIALLY aARON Smith . Raven's fans are like raiders fans they talk like bullies but lose like pussies

Have you ever read some of the things they post on the baltimoresun.com? I think they talk about the steelers more than the ravens to be honest.

I don't see why they should be nervous right now. Shouldn't they be really confident considering how they beat the Steelers in week one? Or are they not confident that their team can keep it up?

They do.

For the ravings retribution will be severe. I hope we don't stop till there are no more numbers left on the scoreboard. Diss n the Steelers is not a good thing.

Flacco stunk up the joint their last game, I think they saw Ben fling 5 TD's and are now wishing they had a QB worth a ****!

Like I said F the ravens and their fans, they can all eat *** scraps!

Agreed :yellowthumb:
While it looks like the Steelers are coming back..it's only one game back..we need more. I'm pretty sure the Ravens are not sweatin it yet...now if we beat the Pats..they will start sweating..

IMO, in a heated rivalry like this, the team that lost always has the edge in the next game. Which is why I have always been surprised everytime we've slept the Ravens in the last few years.

I actually think we have a better chance of beating the Pats this time. Their D is simply BAD. We have an advantage with our D and they hold the advantage with Brady and Co. Can we out score them? Sure.

The Steelers simply cannot afford to lose to the Ravens again. They do that and it's see ya later division. I have a fair amount of confidence in that game believe it or not. They'll know what's at stake and won't let the chance slip bye.

The Pats game, well, I tend to agree with Larry. I have confidence that our offense can strike early and often but I have little faith in the defense to stop Brady and company. Could be a big time shootout.

I'm still not sold on the ravens. I must admit they look better than I thought they would, but I could still see them having a collapse in the second half of the season.

I don't think our division standings look at all like they will by the end of the season. Obviously I could be wrong, but I'm sticking to my preseason predictions for all these teams.

Steelers 11-5
Browns 9-7
ravens 7-9
bungles doesn't matter

I may crash and burn with those, but I'll stick with them.

I think the texans would have beat the ravens with Andre Johnson. Without him I doubt it unless Flacco sucks again which is possible.

The texans will hate to lose two in a row... they have mason now too...

maybe they will take the ratbirds down.

Mario Williams is out too. I think for the season.

The Texans need to treat this is a big time game, and I'm sure they are. With Andre Johnson still not back to being healthy and Williams out out for the year, it's now an even bigger problem.

They're defense is playing pretty well so far so I have no doubt they could hang with the Ravens offense no problem. However with Williams out, how much of a dropoff will that show...

A Texans win Sunday would be huge and would then put the Steelers back in control of the AFC North assuming of course the Steelers beat the Jags. The Ravens have the Jags and Cardinals the next 2 weeks on their schedule so if the Texans dont beat them on Sunday then the odds are good that the Ravens will be 6-1 headed into the rematch here on Sunday night in November which puts even more pressure on the Steelers to not lose any games between now and then. If they can somehow beat the Patriots the Steelers could then take over 1st in the division with a win over the Ravens the following week assuming both win out between now and then...

Another reason to cheer for the Texans is that a Texans win will give the Steelers an advantage over the Ravens in common games.

The Steelers are going to need to keep winning now not only just to keep pace of course with the Ravens but to also keep pace with the Bengals who are now 4-2 after their win today over the Colts. The Bengals have the Seahawks after their bye week next week and the Ravens have the Jags and Cardinals the next 2 weeks before the Steelers meet the Ravens in 3 weeks on Sunday night. So the Bengals have a good chance to be 5-2 and the Ravens have a chance to be 6-1 going into the rematch with them so the Steelers are not going to get any breaks in the schedule with either of these teams the next 2-3 weeks so the Steelers had better take care of their business especially in Arizona next Sunday in another game the Steelers MUST win with both the Pats and Ravens up next on their schedule the following 2 weeks...
