View Full Version : Imagine if the Steelers had found a way to win

Could you imagine Houston if the Steelers had found a way to win that game? How could they look at themselves in the mirror?

I kept watching the game hoping for a reverse 2002, when Houston won despite 49 total yards of offense against Pittsburgh.

As the game dragged on though I realized this D couldn't possibly get three defensive touchdowns.

I AM proud of the Steelers for fighting to the end, but it was clear this mostly was not their day.

Just reading in an article in the Trib, Texans ownership said this is the biggest win in their teams history. We knew they were going to use this game as a benchmark but maybe not this much. Eh, they deserved it, they dominated the game, let the Steelers hang around and hang around, only to see us tie it up. The Texans of the past would have just crumbled in the 4th quarter and lost it. Yesterday they were able to stand tall, rally, and find a way to win. Good teams do that.

You're right, had they lost this one the fans would have just been "oh the same old Texans just can't beat the good teams yet".

I thought this as well, but I also thought about the fact that this game probably should have been 31-10 rather than 17-10 if not for the Texans' penalties. They had a fired up crowd yesterday and as BRC mentioned, this was their biggest win and they deserved it. Clearly.
