This is more of a summer thing but sometimes it's fun to do in the winter just to remind you that summer's on its way!
2 lbs shrimp (24-32 size) in shell
2 containers of Old Bay seafood boil
4 cloves garlic, cut in 1/4's
1/4 box salt
12 small red potaotoes
4-6 ears corn, cut in half
3 lemons, cut in half, squeeze juice, set aside. (save peels too)
In a 16qt pot with lid, bring 10 qt water to a boil.
Add potatoes, garlic, salt, Old Bay, lemon peels.
Boil for 45 minutes.
Add shrimp.
Boil 4-5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add corn and cover.
Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Drain.
In the summer, I serve this outside. Put down newspaper on the table and just dump the pot in the center. No plates or utensils allowed. Serve it with Crispy french bread and squeeze butter.
(Cleanup is rolling up the newspaper and you have one pot to wash...how great it that???!!!)
