Man! From what I've seen to now, we got some serious quality behind the 1st string linebacking Corp!

Mortty Ivy was all over the place the other night!:yellowthumb:

Ivy did have a good game the other night, good call! Ivy had 6 tackles in that game. He played very well. If he keeps playing like that the new 3 games it will be hard to keep him off the roster.

The starting 4 are set of course but guys like Worilds, Sylvester, Chris Carter, and Larry Foote are all in the mix to back them up.

We are going to need it with very little O-line help.

Linebacker didn't figure to be that much of a contested position when camp started. Everybody was figuring that Sylvester would step up and so far he has. Ivy has been a nice surprise, hopefully he continues. Worilds is probably the bigger story simply because of what he's not doing so far.

How many LBs will they carry on the final roster ?

My guess would be 8.

James Farrior
Lawrence Timmons
Larry Foote
Stevenson Sylvester
James Harrison
LaMarr Woodley
Jason Worilds
Chris Carter

Ivy is one of those players who's best shot at making the team is through special teams, but due to the new kickoff rule, players who specialize/focus on ST are no longer as important.

I do expect him to be practice squad material and a phone-call away in case any guy goes down.
