To take this loss seriously is absurd The coaches will use this tape to grade everyone and tweak their technique . All the veterans only had a week or so of camp and remember they(the Redskins) kept their veteran's in on and off for the whole game (Stallworth) . Another thing to consider is when the 2nd team was in the backs missed many blitz pick -ups cause Baron Batch took the majority or the snaps so it would make sense that the other rookies had trouble. However the biggest reason people are reacting to the loss in such an emotional way is what i call Lockout syndrome . It's what happens when rabid fans are deprived from football they somehow think it should be playoff caliber in the pre-season .:2cents:

Come on. It's the preseason. We have to talk about something.

I agree with you. I don't think this game means that the Steelers are out of contention for the Super Bowl.

Of course it doesn't mean they are out of contention. The year the Steelers won SB XL I believe they lost every preseason game. It's not that anybody thinks this game was the end all be all, or that the Steelers have no chance now.

The problem I have with this game is that the team just came out totally flat, out of sync, and key guys like Jason Worilds who's already had a lack luster camp just looks totally lost.

There is still time to ratchet things up and get them corrected, but I would have preferred to see a better performance.

Years past I've always been impressed by the second and third stringers, this year not yet..

:plus1: Just because they're allowed 90 players on the roster, doesn't mean they should do it. They need to make some cuts and get the numbers down. Get quality work for the quality players.

This is my point too...The 2nd and 3rd string use to impress me...Im not seeing it this year.

It makes me wonder if certain honest teams followed the rules of the lock out and others didn't
